Other socks are just disappointing now
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.Anonymous2 months agoThese have been my go to hiking socks for years now. I try others, and always end up coming back to these. They're durable, just the right amount of thickness/padding, wick well, and keep my feet from feeling overheated, and I think it might be impossible to make them smell bad. I once did a 4 day backpacking trip with 1 pair. I had a spare, just never bothered to switch (I was curious).

A Staple of Any Sock Drawer
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.Anonymous2 months agoThis is a tried and true hiking sock, like a Toyota of the sock world. I've logged thousands of miles in these since the late 90s, backpacking, traveling, or just at the office. Excellent moisture management, and great durability. Utilitarian footwear for sure.

WARM AND TOASTY !
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.Thad122 years agoI bought some similar style and specs, Magellan Outdoors Crew Merino Wool Expedition Socks with a blend of 70% merino wool, 29% stretch nylon, 2% spandex. I bought 3 pairs from in store at $5.99 a pair in Frisco, TX. Nester Hosiery makes them Magellan and others in Mt. Airy, NC who also makes specialized socks for miltary, police, etc. No matter SmartWool, Magellan, whomever, you cannot sacrifice the extreme warmth that Merino Wool in medium or heavy weight (I do not buy light weight socks) ... gives you I have found. I will always buy at least 70% or higher Merino Wool for my outdoor socks, or in home cozy time socks from now on. Acrylic and poly blend with wool socks are NOT as warm feeling. Cotton is the worst, since it retains moisture which causes feet to be cold AND causes blisters by keeping feet moist. I have been though 12 different brands of various blends and found that at least 70% Merino Wool or greater is the trick to keeping your feet very warm and blister free.

I've worn Thorlo socks for over 20 years!
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.LoveThorlos3 years agoThorlo socks are SO comfortable especially because of the thick cushy pads for your toes and heels. Also Thorlos are great for walking and keeping your feet warm. I recommend washing/drying the socks inside out to refluff the pads!
