This was actually my second one of these!
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.asweiler1 week agoA few years ago I bought one of these with xMas $ and fell in love with it ever since. Years down the road of so much abuse, I finally felt it was time to get a new one to wear at work. Having this new one really brings back memories, and I plan to never use another kind of jacket again. I am forever a Dickies man!

Great Jacket
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.Steve7572 years agoI've been wearing this jacket for the past 2 weeks and it's been really cold in Virginia. It snowed 6-8" and I took my son sledding and this jacket kept me nice and warm. My only complaint is just the stiffness of the outer shell duck material but I believe it will soften up with use and after a wash or two. The jacket can also be hard to drive in because it is so bulky and the hood can act as a second headrest. Nice jacket overall, it should last for years.

Great Jacket @ a Great Price!
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.scm22 years agoHusband found this jacket in a local store on sale. Called me to see if I could get it at a better price. Boy did I! It was $30 cheaper here than the one on sale at the local store. My husband is tall and thin. He had tried on a 3xl at the store and found that it fit rather nicely. Fast shipment also. Very pleased with this purchase

Great jacket for layering in cold weather
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.IMVC1 year agoI bought this for my trip to Japan where I wore it in temperatures from low 30s to low 50s. I thought it would be warmer but probably because I didn't research it enough. I wasn't worried about it because I wanted to layer and this was perfect! Its lightweight and easy to carry in a backpack. Wore a longsleeve under it and a rain jacket over when it got really cold, windy, and rainy. Great jacket for the price!

Husband is happy
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.LFrank4 years agoBought this as a gift, my husband is 6' 2", 205lbs and has broad shoulders. He occasionally wears XL but I bought this in Large and it fits perfectly with room underneath for layers. He wears it alone and under a rain jacket while fishing. It's warm enough for Texas cool weather but not too thick or hot, just right. I plan to order myself the women's Columbia.

Great Jacket but zipper needs improvement
This reviewer rated product 4 out of 5 stars.Fugu2 years agoThis jacket's outside texture was a little softer probably due to the fact that it was washed. It is very durable and the fit is nice. I'm 5'10, 190 and the medium was a perfect fit for me. The jacket stops a little below my waist which is perfect since I don't want to look sloppy. Jacket keeps me warm and it's very comfortable. The moss green is a nice deep green and looks good. Only thing that I wish Carhartt can improve is the zipper. You need to pull the zipper pretty hard at some places to get it up.

Great Lightweight Jacket
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.DjPeeta3 years agoBought this jacket about a month ago and I'm really satisfied with it. I have always used fleece jackets because I hate bulky jackets and other soft shell jackets were just to pricey for me. I saw this jacket at Academy and bought it at a great price. It is super lightweight and so worth the money. It does its job keeping me warm and works great on windy days compared to my old fleece jackets. So far have used it in 15 degree weather with 3 degree wind chill and worked perfect. Time will tell to ... see if the durability is up to par.

Very warm for being so light
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.Jfrizman1 year agoThis jacket is very warm for being such a light weight jacket. Probably not a jacket to wear to go out and play in the snow but definitely one to wear to keep the chill off. Inside is like a fleece material. When putting on and off it sometimes gets static electricity in it given the right conditions. But other than that a very good jacket

Best I have ever had
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.msdesi2 years agoI purchased this for myself so I could wear it over a jacket. I have horses and spend a lot of time doing chores outside. We have had a great deal of rain so I was able to wear this for the first time the other day. I love it. It fit comfortably over my jacket and gave me freedom of motion.

This reviewer rated product 4 out of 5 stars.FSU163 years agoI got this as a gift for my bf and he loves it! It's a little big but he doesn't mind he will use it to put on top of other layers. It keeps him warm without being bulky or uncomfortable. Def recommend!

Great jacket!
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.Whitney253 years agoI bought this for my fiancé for Christmas because he needed something that was built more for rain endurance. While it was thinner than I thought, he loves it because he can fit any of his heavier jackets underneath!

Good suit for backpacking, $$ IMO
This reviewer rated product 4 out of 5 stars.Sskinner8 months agoBought small sizes and they fit well for a 5' 3.5", 117lb. female wearing a midweight layer. They pack into themselves by stuffing into a pocket that then zips closed. Not sure they would hold up w/ rough use as in pulling, over stretching, hard abrasion against rock. For backpacking: pack easily, relatively light, functioned as a windbreaker, good fit, good color (light blue) for visibility.Wish it had been $ instead of $$. Used in Wind River Range and Sawtooths.

excellent product- excellent fit
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.Sheriff Dan1 year agoThis UA product had an excellent fit. Since I support the Wounded Warriors Program, I buy UA products frequently. I have noticed that thier sizing is very inconsistent. Wether, it is a "Loose Fit or a "Fitted" design clothing, there is ABSOLUTELY no consistency in XL and XXL sizing. The "sizing" consistency is terrible. And this is based on buying UA products since 2003 when my son went to war in Iraq. Something has to be done about this gross flaw in thier products. I hope this review gets to ... someone who can change this serious flaw. I have to say that the "loose fit" product I purchased from Academy was sized according to the label and is an excellent fit!

It Keeps You Dry!!
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.klunkton3 years agoI was originally skeptical about the claims of "waterproof" but after 12 hours in the rain for the Clemson-Notre Dame game, I am a working photographer, I was one of the few on the sidelines that was actually dry underneath my layers. Super lightwieght and comfortable to wear even with no rain, don't let the $50.00 price tag scare you off. It is well worth it, believe me I have used all sorts of raincoats through the years and everyone left me either damp or wet at some point, but not the ... Magellan. Highly recommend!!

Great Rain Jacket
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.Lee T3 years agoI bought this jacket to wear when camping or walking my dog. It is a great purchase and well worth the cost. It is lightweight enough not to be cumbersome, and totally waterproof. The hood comes in real handy too. I like it so well that I bought the rain pants too. The zippers and drawstrings all function very well. It runs a little large, but the medium fit me well (I am male, 5'10" and 160 lbs). When I bought the pants, I bought a small, because they too run a little large. This is probably ... one of the best purchases I have ever made!

Great product, good price.
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.TopwaterMike4 years agoThis is the perfect rain gear to have in your boat in case you get caught in a passing shower while out fishing. I also recently used the jacket while fishing from the bank during a light rain. It is very light weight and comfortable to wear even on a hot day. It comes in it's own compact rugged storage bag and takes up very little room in my storage compartment on the boat. Take note of the size chart and recommendations as you may not want the same size you normally wear. I bought one size ... smaller than I normally wear (Large instead of XL) and it fits perfectly.

keepin dry
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.mark 612 years agoWent to Academy today for a raincoat, but couldn't find a price on the one I wanted and then saw this combo. I had to hunt through several bags to find a matching XL in both jacket and pants, and had a heck of a time getting them back in the bag. I normally wear large, but went xlarge and I'm glad I did.. Material is very lite and comfortable and who cares if the pants are a little short. I always pick Academy first over the other sporting goods store because they have what I want at a better ... price and selection. I have yet to have to take anything back, but if I do, Academy stands behind what they sell.

High Quality Hoodie
This reviewer rated product 4 out of 5 stars.texascornhusker6 months agoSeemed like a high-quality hoodie, but it just wasn't "for me." I didn't care for the fit/look overall. One specific thing to be aware of: the brass color where the drawstring comes out. I'm around 6 ft 183 lbs and ordered size large.
