Account Information Management
How do I receive the benefits related to myAcademy?
You will receive special rewards and offers in the myRewards and Insider Access section of your account.
If you would like to also receive email or SMS benefits associated with myAcademy, you can change opt-in
status for myAcademy under the Manage Account section.
How do I opt-in or opt-out of messages from MyAcademy?
To make changes to the status of your opt-in/out for both Promotional and Transactional Emails and SMS,
log into your myAcademy Account and navigate to the manage purchases tab. On the bottom of the Manage
Purchases tabs, there are three toggles related to the opt-in/out status.
How do I add my Birthday or edit my birthday?
Customers can change their birthday under the Manage Account tab in their myAcademy account.
Can I change my phone number after signing up to MyAcademy?
Customers can change their phone number under Manage Account. You will need to verify the new number
based on one-time password.
Can I change my email address after signing up to MyAcademy?
You cannot change your email address after signing up for myAcademy. You can recover an email account
via SMS OTP if there are duplicate accounts found. If you need to update an email address, please
contact Customer Care at 1-888-922-2336.
How do I delete my account?
Customers can delete account in the Manage Account section at the bottom of the page.
Id.Me Verification
Where can I register for Id.Me promotions?
Users are able to verify their status in the Account
Settings or in the Cart on the website or the mobile app. The process will differ based on the
segment that you are registering for. You can find more information about the required documentation here.
What segments are eligible for an Id.Me promotion at Academy Sports?
Academy Sports + Outdoors provides promotions for the following segments:
- Military
- First Responder
- Nurse
- Teacher
If I registered for Id.Me at Academy Sports, am I eligible for a promotion?
There are not promotions running for the segments at all times of the year. There are specific times of
the year where there is an additional discount provided for the segments. Please check the following
links to see if there is an active promotion.
How can I tell if there is a promotion for the registered segment?
You will need to check the landing page for your segment to see if there is an active Id.Me promotion running for the segment at the time of discount.
What is the benefit of verification with Id.Me?
If there is an active promotion running for the Id.Me segment and you have
been verified, the discount will be automatically applied to the purchase.
Manage Saved Credit Cards
Where can I add or remove credit cards?
If you have a myAcademy account and want to add or remove a credit card, you can do so in the Manage Cards section in the Account Settings on
the website or via the mobile app.
Manage Saved Pick Up Person
How can I manage the pick up person I designate for orders?
You can manage the person who is assigned to pick up your orders from a store location in the Account
Settings under Pick Up Person.
I already placed a Store Pick Up order. Can I change the pick up person after the fact?
Currently, users that have placed an order can change the pick up person via the Mobile App. We
encourage you to download the mobile app and visit the purchase details information to do this.
Manage Saved Addresses
Where can I add or remove addresses?
You can always add a new address during checkout and can save it to your Address Book in your myAcademy account. We
encourage users to sign in prior or during to checkout to have a better customer experience.
How can I update my default shipping and delivery address?
If you sign in to your myAcademy account and go to the Account Settings, you will see your Address Book. You can mark an existing
address or add a new address and mark it as the default shipping address for the account.
Opt-In or Out of Communication
How do I opt in or out of promotional messaging?
You can always opt in or out of our promotional emails at the bottom of the Account Settings page.
How do I opt in or out of promotional SMS?
You can always opt in or out of our promotional texts at the bottom of the Account Settings page.
How do I opt-in or out of one-time passcodes?
You can always opt in or out of receiving both one-time passcodes and transactional messages at the
bottom of the Account Settings page.
Update Email & Phone Number
How do I update my phone number?
Users can update their phone number associated with the account via the Account Settings tab. You will be prompted to
verify the phone number with a one-time passcode.
Can I update the email address associated with my account?
Once an account has been created, users are unable to update the email. The best option is to delete the
account and then create a new account. When an account is deleted, users will lose all associated
purchase history with that account.
