What is merchandise credit?
A merchandise credit can be redeemed for merchandise or services (other than gift cards
and prepaid cards) at Academy Sports + Outdoors stores.
If you presented a government-issued ID when we issued this card to you, we may require you to present the same valid ID to redeem this card. This card is not transferrable. This card may be deactivated if fraud, stolen goods, or abuse is suspected.

Can I use merchandise credit online?
Merchandise credit cannot be redeemed on academy.com or for cash or credit
(except where required by law). The card value cannot be transferred to another
merchandise credit, gift card or prepaid card.
Does merchandise credit expire?
No.
How much can I use in one transaction?
You can use the card in full, there is not a dollar limit on the amount used in a
transaction.
Can I use merchandise credit on sale items?
Yes.
Can I combine multiple merchandise credits in one transaction?
A customer may use multiple merchandise credits in one transaction but the cards cannot
be combined into a single merchandise credit card. (Need Ops to confirm this)
What happens if I have leftover credit after a purchase?
Funds will remain on the card until it is depleted.
How do I check my merchandise credit balance?
The balance can be checked in store only. Balance information is not available online or over the phone.
What if I lose my merchandise credit?
If your merchandise credit was lost or stolen, Academy cannot replace it. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
SCAM ALERT
Academy gift cards can only be used to purchase
products and
services from Academy Sports + Outdoors. If
someone asks you to use a gift card to purchase something not sold by Academy, you might be a
target of
