FAQs and Details About Baseball Coaching Gear

Running drills during long hours of practice can help sharpen your baseball team's skills and get them ready for the big game. Training aids, like a batting cage or swing trainer, helps your team work on specific skills. Add a whistle with your baseball coaching gear to make it easy for you to gather everyone's attention, even if they're on the other side of the field, or grab an air horn to let your team know it's time to huddle up. After practice is over, hand out decals to the hardest workers, so they know you've noticed their dedication to the team.

Before the game starts, be sure to fill out your lineup cards correctly. Cards with built-in carbon copies make it easy to give a copy to the umpire and the opposing manager, or look for a dry-erase clipboard that can be used over and over again. Use a radar gun to see how your pitcher's velocity is holding up towards the end of the game, when fatigue is starting to become a factor, and be sure to keep tabs on the opposing pitchers as well.
