Same Day Delivery

We are unable to schedule a specific time for the delivery currently.

Any order placed before 4:30 PM will be delivered the same day by 8:00 PM. Orders placed after 4:30 PM will be delivered the next day by 8:00 PM.

Your order will be delivered by a DoorDash driver. DoorDash is the Same Day Delivery partner of Academy Sports + Outdoors.

Orders will typically be delivered within 4-6 hours if the order has been placed by 4:30 PM, but is guaranteed to be delivered before 8:00 PM. Orders placed after 4:30 PM will be delivered the next day by 8:00 PM.

Orders will be left on the doorstep of the delivery address if you are not home. Dasher will take a photo off the drop off location and you can find that via the tracking link that is texted to the phone number associated with the order.

There is not a quantity restriction related to the number of items that you can place. The ability to place the order will depend on the store inventory for the item(s).

Yes! You are able to place a Same Day Delivery order and combine that with a Ship to Home order as well. The delivery address for the Same Day Delivery order and Shipping Order cannot be different. If you need to place a delivery to a different address than the shipping order, it is best to checkout separately.

Items delivered using Same Day Delivery are subject to Academy’s standard return policy.

Shipping, Same Day Delivery & Bulk Delivery orders are eligible to be canceled by item or by order while the order is being prepared. Once the order is ready to ship or be delivered, the order is no longer eligible for cancellations. Please reference the Return Policy for more information if you no longer need the item(s).

Store Pick Up orders are eligible for item and order level cancellation while the order is being prepared. Once the order is packed and ready for the customer to pick up, only the entire order can be canceled.

1. Sign in to your myAcademy account.
2. Locate the order in the purchases tab.
3. You can select Cancel Item or Cancel Order from the Order Details page.

Please note the option to request cancellation will only appear for items that have yet to be processed for shipping.

1. Go to the Track Orders & Purchases page.
2. Enter the Order Number (located on the order confirmation email/SMS) and email associated with the order.
3. Select View Purchase Details.
4. You can select Cancel Item or Cancel Order from the Order Details page.

1. Select the order from your purchases in the account tab mobile app to view order details.

You will receive an email and SMS (if opted in) order confirmation as soon as we receive your order. Once we start processing it, items may be canceled for reasons such as:

• An item is no longer available
• We cannot meet the SLA that the customer selected
• The payment method can't be processed
• The shipping address can't be verified
• For Pick Up in Store/Curbside orders, we'll cancel items that aren't picked up during the pickup window, 5 days from Order Placement.

In the event that we can help avoid a cancellation, we will provide options to the customer to change a store location or select a new shipping date for the item. These changes will be sent to the customer via Email/SMS and can always be accessed via the Account.

We do our best to ship orders quickly. If the order is being prepared for shipment or delivery, you may be able to cancel the item or order. It may also be possible to request to change to store pick up or change the address. Once your order has shipped and tracking details are available, you can contact the carrier directly to refuse the delivery.

When you’re unable to cancel or modify it, we’ve fully processed the order. At this point, we are unable to accept changes or cancellations.

1. Sign in to your MyAcademy account to view your Purchase History and tracking.
2. Select Track Package next to your order. You will only be able to track the Same Day Deliver Order once the dasher has picked the order up from the store
3. View all updates to track delivery progress.

Note: During checkout, select the checkbox to receive order updates by text. Once the order is on its way, you will receive tracking updates from DoorDash via text. You will also receive a link to the phone number associated with the account that you can track the order with.

2. Enter your Order Number and Email associated with the purchase, these details can be found in your Order Confirmation Email.
3. Select Track Package next to your order.
4. View all updates to track delivery progress.

Same Day Delivery orders are not eligible for a change in shipping address while the order is being prepared. It is best to cancel the order and re-place with the correct address.

Same Day Delivery Orders are not eligible to change to Store Pick Up. If you wish to pick the item up in store, it is best to cancel the order and re-place with a Store Pick Up order.

Same Day Delivery is available for locations near an Academy Sports + Outdoors store. Check availability by entering your delivery zip code when adding an item to your cart.

Only select items are eligible for Same Day Delivery. You can check if an item is eligible by selecting Same Day Delivery and enter your zip code. Some products may not be eligible due to restrictions such as weight, size and local laws.

All of the Academy Sports + Outdoors stores are eligible for Same Day Delivery.

Same Day Delivery is only available for addresses that are 20 miles from a store location. If your address is further than this, then the store is unable to supply the item to that address for Delivery. In these instances, it is best to ship the option.

Academy does not ship certain restricted items including, but not limited to firearms, ammunition, and items over 50lbs to a customer's home. Those items must be picked up in store.

Our Same Day Delivery carrier will only deliver orders to addresses that are within 20 miles of the shipping location. If you enter an address within checkout that is not eligible for Same Day Delivery, an alert will inform you to change your method of delivery.
