Our team processes orders shortly after customers place one. You’ll have a short period of time to cancel or modify your order once you place it on Academy.com. We are not able to guarantee exactly how much time you’ll have.
Follow these steps to check if your order is eligible for modification:
- Go to our Track Orders & Purchases page to view the current status of your order.
- Sign in to your MyAcademy account to view Purchase History OR enter your Order Number and Email associated with the purchase; these details can be found in your Order Confirmation Email.
- Next, click ‘View Order’ or ‘View Purchase Details’
- Modification buttons will be visible if the order is eligible for modification.

Change Delivery Method to Free Shipping
How can I change my order from pick up to free shipping?
In the case that you need to change to Free Shipping, most Pick Up Orders are able to be
modified while they are being prepared. Once the order has been prepared, you can also
switch to
Free Shipping if you are no longer able to make it to the store. Academy supports a
5-day pick
up window for Pick Up Orders.

Most ship-to-home orders are eligible to change to store pick up while the order is

prepared and prior to shipping. After the order has been prepared, modifications can no
longer
be made.

Why can I only change to store pick up on certain orders?
Certain items do not come from Academy Sports Stores or Distribution Centers and come from partnerships that have been established with Academy. These items are not eligible for order modifications during any stage. When shopping on Academy.com, these items are marked as Online Only items. For online only items that need a change in shipping address, the best option is to cancel the item or order and reorder them to the correct address.
Can I change to store pick up on same day delivery items?
Academy does not currently have the capability to support changes on same day delivery items while the order is being prepared. If you need to change the shipping address, the best option is to cancel the item or order while it is being prepared and complete the purchase with the correct address.

Change Pick Up Person
Can someone else pick up my order for me?
Yes! You can set an alternate pick-up person when placing an order. The person you designate for in-store or curbside pick-up must present their valid government-issued ID and the order number. Remember, if you need to change the alternate pick-up person later, you can do so by downloading the Academy Sports + Outdoors mobile app.
Can I change the pick up person after I have placed the order?
Yes. The alternate pick-up person can be changed by downloading the Academy Sports + Outdoors mobile app. Once you have logged into your account, you can update the pick-up person via the “Edit” button. This does not apply to purchases of restricted items.
How can I manage the saved pick up people in my profile?
If you ever need to change the alternate pick-up person for a specific order, you can do so by downloading the Academy Sports + Outdoors mobile app. You are able to manage the people that are able to pick up your Store Pick Up orders in
the
Account Settings under Pick Up Person.
