Since I obtained my CHCL I have began looking for a holster that combines safety and concealability. I have three of these holsters, one for my 1911 Government model, 1911 Commander, and XDS 45 3.3". The only downside to this is that it is not available for the Colt Defender. I know that it will fit either of the holsters I already have for my other 1911's, but this does nothing to help with concealing the holster. If Blackhawk can make this holster for the XDS 3.3" why wouldn't they ... make one for the Colt Defender? I would definitely buy it if they did.
I've been using Blackhawk Serpa holsters since I started carrying concealed a couple years ago, and I have one for both my S&W SD40VE and Glock 22. The build quality is great, and even after years of use I've never had one break or fail. It's not my favorite holster by any means, as I dislike the positioning of the active retention mechanism, but the modularity keeps me coming back. My biggest problem with this holster is that it has worn the finish on my Glock's slide to an excessive degree in ... a short period of time. I understand that all holsters will wear a firearm's finish with use, but I've never had a holster that's worn through it so quickly. That said, I still think the Serpa CQC is a very good holster option.
I love my holster fits like a glove! Paddle holster excellent for concealed carry, for sweat pants, jeans, and tactical duty pants. Weapon locks into the holster for secure carry under demanding conditions.
I've had this holster for about a month now and use it to carry my S&W Bodyguard 380. I was looking for a small clip on/off holster that I could use for quick trips to the store without having to holster-up with my 9mm using an IWB holster. Plus when I wear a jacket and have to take it off, such as in a restaurant, I can quickly remove it and slip in into my jacket pocket. It hugs my side really well although I do wear a very sturdy gunbelt.
It's true to the design when described as an outside the waist band holster! I like it for cooler weather temperatures or when I'm on the go. I use it at the range because it's practical and it allows for a smooth quick release. This holster allows you to draw your firearm quickly and get into a shooters position. Very reliable, durable and comfortable providing your wearing jeans or a fabric similar in material. Of course, there may be some exceptions do to it's a hard plastic like material. ... Blackhawk seems to understand that everybody is different. They have incorporated a holster that allows you to make adjustments to the angle of the way you draw your firearm. This helps immensely and is a great benefit to those of us who like options. Keep shooting!
I like the security feature of this holster. It is much better than the universal holsters I have had in the past. The instructions are minimal. I took the holster off the paddle to attach the belt hooks but was unable to attach the holster to the paddle because the belt hooks were in the way. I wish there was a video showing how to wear it best and common ways of setup. My SD9 handle prints under a long shirt when carried at 3 or 4 O'clock. Paddle hook holds onto my pants well. Removing holster ... from pants is not fast or elegant.
I bought this for my smith an Wesson sd9ve. It's a great holster! It's very comfortable an secures the gun well! Great holster!!
We just bought this few weeks ago. We have always been impressed with Fobus' design and how comfortable it feels on your hip. It is also very secure. It is designed so that your handgun does not fall out when you bend over but it is still easy to draw and you don't have the problem of the entire holster coming up when drawing. Overall, very impressed and satisfied.
Great value holster for the money I was really impressed. The overall fit was perfect and gun was not loose and not too tight to pull out either just perfect. The clip has enough tension to when it's on you doesn't move at all its night and day with a uncle mikes holster I have. Doesn't cover up magazine release but I never had a problem so far so no complaints it doesn't bother me one bit.
Not a bad holster for the money. Pretty snug at first just takes a little breaking in.
Picked this up with my Shield 9. First impressions are; Very high quality workmanship. Fits my weapon perfectly. The dual carry feature is nice. Very easy to remove the inside waistband clip to wear on your belt as an open carry holster. Not really a negative point, but as this is not a molded holster, expect a little break in period, the fit is very tight for a while but not enough to impede a draw from concealment. Overall, a great $30 buck American made holster.
I have bought several holsters before this one and this will be my last. It's easy to get on and off and it's very comfortable for all day carry. No printing whatsoever! Only modification I did was to cut the thumb break off and now it's the perfect holster.
I was very surprised when I ordered it but it fits my Glock 17 and 22...I will order another one and very fast shipping thank you Academy
This holster is very comfortable! I tried waist band and ankle holster and this one is by far my favorite. Sizing is accurate and it stays in place. I wish I could wear it not just with dresses.
My wife has carried concealed in her purse for years. What is the first thing a robber is going to try to take from a lady? The purse. This holster allows for deep concealment without changing the wardrobe. Draw is quick and close to the body. Reholstering is a bit of a challenge, but that is of secondary concern to saving her life. Excellent product and arrived in 4 days.
Works very well, easily holds Glock 19 w/full mag. I would like to see a smaller one to hold mags. Best way I know of to make a gun accessible while still concealed.
very strong magnet, wont scratch your gun and will hold it firmly
This is the most comfortable holster I own - even with the extra magazine in place.
I bought this holster about a month ago it is a very good fit for my lc9s love how it feels while i have it on
Just bought one and loving the comfort of the leather so far.
Fit like a glove, tight but it's adjustable. Won't come out if held upside down.
Had a hard time finding a holster for my Taurus PT99 since they haven't made it in awhile. But found this one to fit great since the design is close to a Beretta.
uncle mikes holster filled my need nicely.very economical.
I got mine a while back and modified it with some Velcro to attack it to the side of my Truck's center console. I can remove the Ruger LC9S Pro and put it in this holster and affix it to the console while I'm out of the truck. Some places won't allow a gun. Hospitals for example. I also can wear the gun inside the pocket of a 5.11 tactical vest that I wear under a shirt.
This pocket holster was exactly what my husband was looking for and the price was TERRIFIC!
Best holsters I now own. You can set it on your belt forward middle or back.also one screw for tension on gun .Great to keep little ones from removing gun from holster. Can not say how awesome these are. We own three one for Glock,Smith Wesson and Shield for my wife.
I've had one for months now and it really is the best fitting, most comfortable holster I've ever used. Use it everyday!
I got this holster for my Kimber ultra carry 2 ,because I couldn't find one for it.It does a great job... Good holster, and they shipped it out fast. The thumb safety,I like it really well.
Got this for my SIG P938 and is a great fit. Takes a couple days to break in and form a mold to your gun. Beyond that, its very comfortable and stays in place whether pocket carrying or IWB. Recommended for versatile holster!
A nice in-pocket holster for the Sig P238. Stays in place when pulling the Sig out. Provides protection to the gun and is concealable in the pocket.
Gun owners know that practicing safe gun storage and use is extremely important. With the proper gun holster from our gun holsters store, both concealed carry and open carry practices are accommodated. Recreate traditional cowboy action with Western holsters that fasten to your belt, placing your gun on the side of your waist that's opposite of your dominant hand for quick cross-draw capabilities. A paddle holster keeps your gun facing downward until it's drawn to prevent accidental misfires.
Whether you're a member of law enforcement, the military or just a citizen who's practicing open carry, a thigh holster is a great way to carry semiautomatic hand guns on the same level as your firing hand. Use a leg holster or ankle holster to keep your firearm concealed beneath the hem of your pants. A shoulder holster is worn under a jacket or shirt to hide your gun and can accommodate left-handed, right-handed and even ambidextrous users.
Keep your small, lightweight hand gun easily accessible with a pocket holster that lets you reach and draw your weapon within seconds, making it perfect for self-defense situations where you don't have much time to retrieve your firearm. Pocket holsters may make it obvious that you're carrying a gun, however, so consider how much concealment you need prior to purchasing.
