How do you refill the lighter, and where do you get the fuel to refill the pole?
Asked by: Gone_Fishing
The Gibson Bait-Cast Fishing Pole BBQ Lighter uses readily available butane gas which can be purchased at your local store.
1. If you have turned up the adjustment screw, wheel, or handle to increase the flame when the butane was low, turn it down first.
2. Locate the refill port on your lighter. on most lighters, it appears as a round hole with an "eye" in the middle. On other lighters the refill port hole is covered by a white safety cover. Slide the cover to the side.
3. With the butane gas can pointing DOWN to the refill port, push the can's nozzle into the port. Rotate it a little to make sure it's engaged. Push down on the can and fill. You may need to pump it up and down slightly. When the lighter is full, you will get a little overflow or sprayback. Stop at this point and remove the butane can.
Please note that butane will not ignite in cold temperatures, so your refilled lighter may need to warm a bit - to room temperature - before igniting.
