Rated 1 out of 5 by from BREAKOUTS EVERYWHERE! I just bought this product from Walmart thinking it would be so safe for my sensitive skin... WRONG. I sprayed it all over my face, chest, arms, hands... within 6 hours I had hundreds of red bumps EVERYWHERE! I've never broken out from anything this bad... please beware if you have sensitive skin!! Doesn't even deserve one star!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Surfer for 20 Years: Best Sunscreen Around I've been surfing for 20 years and the Banana Boat Kids is the best around. I live in Southern California near the beach and love being in the sun and at the beach. I've used tons of sunscreens with all kinds of needless sunburns and this is the best. Also, I have very sensitive skin and never had one problem with this spray sunscreen (had a massive hives outbreak from another kind of spray-on once). The main problem with people getting sun burns is they don't know how to use sunscreen correctly. Here's how to guarantee you won't get a sunburn: 1) Apply your sunscreen to *dry* skin. Your skin must be completely dry, not just patted dry. If you get out of the water, dry yourself completely and then wait a few minutes before applying sunscreen. Applying sunscreen to a wet/damp body is trying to mix oil & water - It Doesn't Work - don't do it. Trust me. Just don't. The second you get back in the water it all immediately washes away. 2) Apply in an environment where there is NO wind. If you absolutely must apply outside, make sure your are standing downwind of the sprayer. Otherwise, you are just spraying money into the wind and setting your skin up for burn-city. Most people think "I applied sunscreen!" when they apply outside. No, no you didn't, you sprayed sunscreen, but just filled the air. 2) Wait at least *15* minutes before sun exposure. Sunscreen begins breaking down the minute it is exposed to sunlight. You want sunscreen to fully absorb into your skin before the breaking-down process begins. I usually apply 30 minutes beforehand if possible. This is not terribly imperative but if you don't want a sunburn, follow this rule. 3) Water-Resistance is not what you think. A product that says "80-minutes water resistance" means "80-minutes of sitting in a bathtub perfectly still". Nobody I know uses sunscreen like this. If you are going to do ANY water activity where you go in the water (not standing on a dock or sitting on a boat), be sure to apply religiously. I know this from surfing, which is one of the most rigorous water activities. If you swim for 20 minutes - when you come back in, dry off completely and get in shade (if possible) to apply sunscreen. Follow the rules above (get dry, apply in still environment, wait 15 minutes before going out in sun). After 30 minutes of swimming, your sunscreen is all but gone. You might be ok in the water for an hour swimming but the minute you get out, you are starting the burning process if you are in the sun mid-day. I've fallen victim to failing to do this countless times. If you can't get in shade or you are going to be outside in the breeze, do the best you can and have someone help and make sure you get sunscreen applied properly. And use Banana Boat - I've used countless sunscreens and this has the best water-resistance and effectiveness of any I've ever tried.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastisch product (fantastic product) I was on my holiday in florida from the netherlands. We had our suncream with us from holland, but I saw this spray lotion and I wanted to try it. It really works amazing. Easy spray, no cream wich is hard to wipe. Nobody got sunburned even when we went for lots of swims in pools and ocean it worked fabulous. For me this is the nr.1 sunprotection.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible product Spent the day at the pool and stocked up on this sunblock. It states water resistant for 80 minutes so I applied every hour and had my son sit for a period of time after applying to ensure it wouldnt wash right off. But at the end of the day he is still red as a lobster! DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't waste your money! Seriously I applied following the directions on my daughter and myself. I used spf 50. I will never use this brand again, we both burnt. Only 3 hours in the sun, I expected more sun protection than it gave. No pros for this product. Don't waste your money.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible product!!!!!! This product did NOT work! Both of my kids got sunburn after using it correctly! It doesn't cover the skin, and apparently washed off when entering water! I will never buy banana boat sunscreen ever again! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
