It's okThis unit has a great galvanized box, and it has a good 12 volt motor. But, it does not have a good digital timer, and the spinner plate with those little flappers, is a piece of junk. Not sure why these plates are still in use, but they need to disappear. If you buy this, plan to buy a digital timer and a spinner plate.

Foreverlast FeederPurchased 5 new timers and 3 did not work straight out of the box. I hunt too far away to take a chance on these feeders.

Ok Feeder MotorI purchased this feeder motor because the one I had was stolen and I wanted to purchase another one like the one I had which was galvanized as well. Its almost as good but there is a fe things that I do not like about this game feeder: The one that was stolen had a small piece of plate where the timer could be velcroed inside the unit, which kept the timer brom bouncing around, all I did was put sticky velcro on the top and side to hold the timer in place but it still doesn't have a back to hold it in place when you press the buttons to change settings for feeding times and such... there also was not a place to strap the battery down or an access hole or port to put a big 12 volt battery on the outside of the feeder itself. I think the feeder is heavy, which is good but the motor doesn't sling the corn or milo out very far.. my other one would spit it out fast and hard and would hurt like getting hit by a BB gun lol I also miss the remote control to make it go off again when hog hunting.

How does the control timer fit into the control motor can? Also is this a 12 volt unit. Plus what about a solar panel with bracket to fit on the control can.
Asked by: Bigfoot9
The timer is placed inside the motor can alongside the battery. The solar panel can no fit directly onto the can and will have to be installed on the feeder. There is an opening to run the wiring through.

The battery life will depend on the type of battery used but it will typically last about 6 months to a year.
