Just what I neededBought these to put on a carbine-length Troy quad rail. I was looking for a rigid rail cover which would have a similar feel to the stock M4 handguards. The ProMag rail cover fit the bill. Installation works best if you put the covers on the rails before you mount the rail to the rifle (or in my case, remove the rail from the rifle, install the covers, then re-install the rail). The rail covers are very rigid and probably won't bend enough to be able to slide the covers on the rail if the rail is already on the rifle. Also, I needed to shorten 2 of the rail covers in order to mount my light and VFG to the right-hand and bottom rails, respectively. I used a hacksaw to cut the rail covers to the right length, then used a file and sandpaper to smooth off the cut edges of the rail. I am very pleased with the finished install. Will buy again for my next build.

Great product and priceCan't beat these for the money. I also like how they lock in place.
Hello J Long,
The ProMag 1913 Picatinny Rail Rib Cover Panels 4-Pack are designed to cover 1913 Picatinny rails - protecting the rail when not in use and measure 9.8 inches in length, but can be custom fit by shortening them to a specific length. The panels should work for you AR-15.
