Very Sturdy, Holds 8 Rods perfectly in place !I been using these for 1 fishing season so far, they hold the rods in place while traveling down the road to the lake. The rods stay positioned in the holders even in rough water. No more bouncing on the floor of the boat, keeps my rods protected. I will buy more if these ever wear out ! I have 2 sets holding 16 rods with reels.

Large and solidThese rod holders are good for keeping rods out of the way and on the side of the boat (inside of course). They are larger than expected and solidly built. Time will tell how durable they are...and how easy it is to get the rods in/out quickly.
the rod holders show two for $18.99 or is the cost $18.99 per rod holder? item Number F15435

Does the boatbuckle mount the fishing rods along the side of the boat ? I do not need for it to hold the rods in the up and down position. Need a rod bracket that will have them mounted on the side with out sticking up

The BoatBuckle® HLS Vertical Rod Hold-Down Plus mounts on the gunwale or floor of most boats to provide a secure hold for up to 8 fishing rods. Where the gunwale is located is on the inner part of the boat, so therefore it will be mounted on this inside of the boat.
