Great Design, Poor Lid DesignVery pleased with the actual design, thought Tervis did an amazing job with that aspect. Unfortunately their Lid design is below quality standards as it leaks (actually pours) when completely closed and tipped upside down. This is not the Tervis quality I'm used to as my entire FL based family purchases new cups multiple times each year. I agree with the previous comment about Tervis rushing their stainless steel product to compete with Yeti, etc.

Although the tumbler looks good from a distance, there wereAlthough the tumbler looks good from a distance, there were several burrs in the metal underneath the painted surface. Having the lumps on the cup is annoying to me, plus it will probably eventually make the paint wear off in those spots. The lid is a horrible design. It is tough to slide open, but I am guessing it might loosen up over time. My biggest beef is that even with the latch slid all the way closed, liquid still escapes if it is tipped over- , the lid is not a drip proof or spill proof lid I would think a lid that is an airtight lid should serve as a spill proof lid I like the Tervis cups with lids because I feel it had a promise, but Tervis pushed these out too quickly to try and compete with the other insulated tumblers on the market, the lid is hard to open Would not recommend this cup until tervis comes out with their own stainless steel cup SIC did a poor job on designing their cups
