Browning FMJ 19-Gun Safe

I like it fineThis is a discontinued item by Browning although Browning has current comparable safes. They are out of stock online at Academy. Our local store had 2 left, one was on it's way out the door as I arrived. I got the last one 5 days ago. The Academy website has incorrect specs. The actual external measurements are 58" tall, 24" wide and 18.5" deep. I physically handled this safe and it's weight is at least 350lbs. Browning safes are 12 gage steel, they build no floor standing safes under 400 lbs. The fire rating on this safe is 30 minutes at 1400 degrees, not 1200. I was able to purchase it for $514, at that time there wasn't anything of this quality at this price. I liked that it was a Browning at a fair price, it is a manageable size for inside the home. I can move it through interior doorways or even tuck into a closet if I choose to. There were other shoppers looking at gun safes for the home that preferred something smaller and lighter. I liked the door mount rifle rack idea but when I got it home it wasn't of much use for scoped rifles. I hadn't considered that in the store. I removed the door mount rifle rack and mounted hardware to hang pistols and magazines on the door keeping the scoped rifles tucked safely inside. The lock works just fine, I had to go online to find programming instructions and the procedure worked. The three handle latch is very good quality, works flawlessly, perfect finish. Typically a safe this size has a single handle latch. Nothing wrong with those but I think the three handle latch is more appealing. The door height is adjustable via an Allen wrench under each hinge if need be, mine came adjusted just fine. This one was short one rifle rack base which I was going to call browning to replace it but then I decided not to use the door mount rifle rack at all so it is not an issue. I am completely satisfied with the quality and design of this safe. I gave it 4 stars out of five because I expect the quality for the price. At the regular price I would have moved beyond it as there are many choices. Academy has other fine choices in this sale price range that I would have looked seriously at if they were on sale when I purchased this one. I included photos to illustrate my claims.

You get what you pay for!I was skeptical about paying extra money for this safe compared to others. But the quality and craftsmanship that Browning has always delivered was unbeatable. The interior is really nice and it’s way more organizable than others. Stronger and definitely better built compared to the others at this price. Well worth the extra money.
Does the internal of this gun case have shelfs on one side with long gun storage on the other like the FMJ 23 or is it all long gun storage?

Can you put pictures of the inside on the website?

inside looks a lot like the 23 gun version - but has 5 spots on the door rack for long guns and mine didn't have any other door mount accessories -

The measurements seem to be off. If you have a 21in external width, how can you have a 21in internal width? If the external height is 58in how can the internal height be 26in? What are the correct dimensions of this safe?
Asked by: marnsmpfi
external: HxWxD = 58.25x24x18.5
internal: 53** x22.5x15
** Internal Height is (including a "raised bottom" making it even with the door but you could take out the spacers) I didn't measure while I had the floor panel out but it is probably about 3 inches so you're looking at between 55 and 56 internal (not 26- someone just had a typo).

Is there a manual key override in case of electronic lock failure??

The one I saw does not come with a key. Has a SecuRam lock system. The lock key pad does not pop off like some of the stack-on or Winchester safes.
