I purchased this set for my 9 year old son (normal height-weight) because he wanted to learn how to skateboard. Pretty good product. Bought the S/M. Fits great. Also bought the Bell black bike/skateboard helmet $19.99. The junior size of the pads would fit a younger kid. That's why I went with S/M. Overall, very happy with quality. He skated yesterday for the first time in full gear. Took to it pretty fast. The gear helped his confidence. He took one minor spill but popped right ... back up. Very happy and proud.
