I have had my stand now for 6 years I have moved it about 4 times... I purchased the top that goes with it ..Not the best but works good.. make sure you take it off at the end of the season...I removed the seat in the stand replaced it with Office chair with rubber mat on floor.. plenty of room for you and all your gear.. Buying another one this summer for another location...I am a 71 yoa hunter and i have to have everything with me when going hunting, backpack ,Mr heater, snacks, gun rest ... ... Best Buy I ever made....If people are having trouble it, is because they didn't put it together right...You won't be sorry for getting it...Get you some extra nuts and bolts, you are going to loose a couple, I bet...Good Hunting.... picture from inside my stand

Great minds think alike. I too bought this stand and assembled as much as I could in my garage. Much easier to find a bolt or nut if dropped there than in the woods. Once we put it together it was a very sturdy stand. I did zip tie the cross bars together to keep them from rattling. No other mods after this. Follow the instructions and it goes together easily. Now just waiting for Nov 4th to see if I put it in the right spot.

All Day StandThis reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.Shwack9 months ago
Very Very Comfortable Stand! I call it the all day stand. Assembly is not as hard as it seems for some. Very sturdy. I like the fact that at seasons end I can loosen the ratchet strap and the leg bindings to allow tree growth, and remove the seat assembly to get it out of the weather for 8 months of the year. Only problem with this stand is I want at least 4 more. DO NOT TRY TO SET THIS STAND BY YOURSELF. 3 people make it easy, but 2 is a must.
Solid Ladder StandThis reviewer rated product 4 out of 5 stars.jdom102311 months ago
I bought this based off of the 2 positive reviews on Academy's website and the personal recommendation of a friend. I would probably give this stand 5 stars if the instructions would have been a little clearer. It is a solid stand and is now set up and ready to use. Like the title suggests...this stand is solid. I assembled most of it at home (it took a couple of hours). I attached the bottom 2 rungs of ladder in the field. The seat stabilizer bars were a nightmare to put on..in fact I only ... put 1 of them on. I had to use a pry bar to stretch the nylon seat fabric enough to make it fit. There had to be a design defect as the part should not have taken that much effort to put on. Overall...the color is great, the parts were clearly labeled, and I'm happy with it. The chair is very comfortable and is probably one of the main reasons I chose this stand. It would have been nice if this kit would have come with more than 1 ratchet to fasten it to the tree. I would probably still buy another one now that I know what to better expect with assembly.

Hunting Ladder Stands
Looking for a great way to stay out of sight as you keep an eye out for incoming game? Install a sturdy ladder stand at your favorite hunting spot. While many are not easily portable, they're great for hunters who frequent a single area. Perched high above the ground, you'll be able to enjoy a bird's-eye view of the land, while maintaining a shooting position that's comfortable for you.
Ladder Treestands Let You Shoot In Comfort From A Distance
Hunting ladder stands affix to a tree for stability and provide an area at the top for you to sit and enjoy the view from upwards of 20 feet above ground. The ladder features sturdy rungs for easy climbing, and some are designed to blend into the surroundings, much like other treestands and blinds, to help prevent game from being alerted to your presence. Providing a more stable vantage point than bare branches, seats with padded armrests and gun rests help keep you comfortable and your weapon steady when it's time to shoot. If you'll be hunting with a buddy this season, browse 2-person ladder treestands, so you can easily show him or her the ropes from above.
