Awesome Rifle!
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.CrazyCajun0676 years agoI purchased this rifle about a month ago just to have a 209 to play with... just got around to sighting my rifles for the hunting season coming and took it out to fire a few shots... I was surprised!! Shot a few Sabots through it and they were on the money... decided to give it a whirl with some Great Plains 385 grain also on the money... took it a little further and broke out the homemade powder... *every shot was in the bulls-eye zone* run about 30 rounds through this thing and didn't swab the ... barrel one time in between them... I think I will hang the Hawkens up this year and put this one to a field test... Awesome Rifle, for the price!

Kentucky Rifle hist the target
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.scrscv3 years agoThis black powder rifle kit exceeded my expectations on quality and value. I was expecting it to be harder and more time consuming than it actually was. There is some woodwork involved, but the parts fit much better than expected, resulting in less fitting actually needed. The wood quality is excellent for a "kit" and I did a fairly good on blueing the barrell.

Good Rifle
This reviewer rated product 4 out of 5 stars.Brojack1 year agoI thought that I had read somewhere that the rifle came with the scope bore sighted. First shot was 3' right and 4 ' high. It took six shots to get the 3" bulls eye at 75 yds. 3 more for confirmation. Ammo is to expensive and you should not be required to spend this much on sighting a new rifle. Rifle is excellent.

First Muzzleloader
This reviewer rated product 3 out of 5 stars.Trent720631 year agoI purchased this rifle with Traditions scope. One of the three set screws of the scope mount became loose,I guess from sighting it in. I put some lock tite on it and resighted it in and next time out harvested a buck from 60 yards and the shot was right on target. If I didn't have scope mount issue I would rate it a 5.

Right out of the box
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.Superman23181 year agoBought this gun to update from my old Knight wolverine, and right out of the box it was in the bulls eye at 50 yards. Mine came with a factory mounter Konus scope and in 6 shots 2 at 50, and 4 at 100, the site in was done at 1 inch high at 100 yards using a weighed 90 grains of Blackhorn 209 and Hornady light drag 250 grain sabots. I can honestly say i love this rifle.

Very exciting gun to shoot
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.Easymoney15 years agoI bought one this month the gun shoots extremely well. Once I found the right powder for it, the clean up on the gun was just as easy. The powder I bought for it was called advanced clean by American Pioneer FFG cleans with water only.

Great gun
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.elpasowrangler3 years agoI have owned a CVA Wolf for several years. Mine is nickel plated barrel. The gun is accurate, easy to clean and fun to shoot. CVA guns have great barrels and like all my guns, when new, are checked to make sure all the screws are tight. I usually use thread lock on them as vibrations will work them loose otherwise. Too many think they have no need to check a new gun or properly care for it. Any gun should be checked, cleaned and properly oiled before use.

Very good, lightweight, affordable in-line.
This reviewer rated product 4 out of 5 stars.GDAV2 years agoI've only had this gun a short time. I have found it to be much lighter than a traditional muzzle loader, and definitely more accurate, especially with the added scope versus the front "vertical bar" sight, and with the easy out breach plug, a lot easier to clean. Make sure you read the directions before use, if you have never owned a muzzle loader, particularly an in-line. It does come with a lubricated breach plug but does say to add bore grease to it. Also make sure to use the recommended ... bullets and primers such as the powerbelts and the 209's; upgrade if you can; don't skimp on a few bucks. The powerbelts copper series shoots best for me. (Each gun is different). For the gun, scope, and case package, it's a great value. I recommend it!

Accurate and easy to load!
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.TxTrooper3 months agoI bought this rifle over a year ago and have enjoyed the new challenge of shooting a muzzleloader. The rifle is easy to load and has proven to be an accurate weapon at 100 yards. I have been consistently shooting a 2" group with 100 grains of powder and the Hornady XTP 240 grain bullets.
