Good Beginner's Road Bike
This reviewer rated product 4 out of 5 stars.hotredpro52 years agoI bought this road bike for my wife. It took me about an hour to assemble. The bike seems very sturdy and all the parts work well. I took it for a spin a couple of times and the ride is comfortable and predictable. The aluminum frame could be lighter, but then again this is not a $900 road bike. For the price, it is a very decent road bike. I hope it lasts a while.

Nice bike!
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.Breck111 year agoIt is very hard to locate a decently priced women's road bike. This bike is very easy to assemble and a very good option if your not looking to spend big $$. I also bought myself mens version for us to ride together. Two very nice bikes for under $450 is a great deal. Cant go wrong.

Nice Bike For the $$
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.TexAggie90310 months agoBought this bike because I'm 6' 6". It has a taller frame. It rides good and so far seems to be a quality bike for the money! I did also have to adjust the brakes and gears just a little. Other than that, can't go wrong with this GMC bike from Academy.

Champagne on a Beer Budget
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.jpap9672 years agoIncredible value for the money. A very lightweight, durable, fast and comfortable all-around hybrid/road bike. The thin profile 29" rims are very strong, and allow the rider to effortlessly speed up and maintain speed. Contoured handle grips keep your wrists in a more positive position and keeps them from getting sore. The best part of the bike = the shifters. Shimano automatic shifters, simple click and your bike changes gears, the switch is spring loaded and you can run through the gears ... sequentially very quickly. I have had my Schwinn Tourist for 7 years now, it is the predecessor to this Volare, same exact form and function with the Shimano gear shifters. I bought the Volare recently and gave my Tourist to my girlfriend so she can ride along with me, couldn't be happier!

Love the RZ Fire shifters.
This reviewer rated product 3 out of 5 stars.Lonnie8 months agoI've had it for over a year now and in the first month I T-boned a curb and bent the front fork in but still rideable. To my surprise the front wheel was not fazed in the least. I also like the narrow tires. I've been riding hybrid bikes for awhile now so it was a nice change to be able to ride faster with less effort. The downside of having it is the bike shops here don't like working on them because they take specialized tools for Schwinn. So I was told. I also liked the quick release on the ... back wheel as well as the front. I might add that I was able to put a different front fork with shock absorbers. I'm not a fan of the rigid front fork being I ride on the sidewalk a lot. I need the cushion that the shock provides when coming off a curb.
