Does what it says on the tin
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.dang_2 years agoThis panel is great. If you're intending to charge a small battery with it, be careful. It's sold as a 12V unit, but I measured an open-circuit voltage of 24.5V in mottled early-evening sunlight (laying flat, central TX, winter). This means if you intend to use it to maintain a small (i.e. ATV or lawn mower) battery you might be at risk of boiling the battery's electrolyte with excess voltage. I wouldn't expect it to be a concern with automotive batteries or batteries in applications where ... there's a sustained load of at least a watt or two. If you have doubts, you'll probably want a charge controller. In that same light it measured approximately 500mA short-circuit current. I wasn't able to test for peak power, but it's entirely possible it was making at least 5W in that low light, and I wouldn't be surprised to find out it could do 12W in full sun. On the back it has four M8 size T-nuts captured in the long sides of the frame rail. The box that contains the cable-panel junction is probably somewhat moisture resistant, but you should consider filling it with RTV if it's going to be in a place where it can get wet. Otherwise it looks like it will be durable in my outdoor installation. For the price it seems like a great deal, and I plan on buying more for other uses.

Compact and Easy to use
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.Andrew2 weeks agoI got this charger a few weeks back and installed the night before a trip. Installation was super easy, it took me longer to get my tools than it did to mount and hook it up. The charger is small which is what I needed for my small skiff console. Although it is small it charges as quick as any other charger I have owned. The memory function is awesome I don’t have to tell it what type of battery I am using every time I charge. I am an avid boater and fisherman and I am really hard on my ... gear and this charger has been an awesome find. I highly recommend it.
