Strong! Casts great! Lightweight!!
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.SurfKing4 years agoHave the 10ft version of the Prevail and it is awesome!! It casts great! It is perfect for plugging out in the surf with a popper, an SP from Daiwa or bucktails as well. I have cast 4oz with a double drop and shrimp perfectly as well! Pairs great with a Battle 5000 :)

Solid rod!
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.Dan S2 years agoI bought this rod in 9.5 ft last fall and is perfect! Lightweight, strong, and handles heavy lures/weights with ease. Also the look is apealing to the eye! I paired it with a battle1 6000 and the pair is a great set up! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Initial reveiw
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.len g1 month agoStout rod. Love the gimbal and it's cover. The butt has a rubber cover over the gimbal. Think its going to be a good stand up rod. It is a bit heavy, so I matched it a Kast King Rover 60. Just can't wait to test it on a big cat , blue or striper, maybe even a shark. Always a possibility here

Great for the price
This reviewer rated product 4 out of 5 stars.coachdodge3 years agoI have had mine for about 2 years now. I go surf fishing at least 2 weekends times a month. My 2 friends also bought the same rod and none of us have had any issues with them at all. It stands up well in the heavy surf. Im about to get a second one.

Outstanding!
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.Eck189 months agoBought one a few months back and was couldn't be happier with the performance. Super comfortable handle with great power, not to mention it is very easy on the eyes. All in all, it is a standard PENN product. By that I mean the quality is unmatched and it instills confidence once in hand. I will absolutely be back for further purchase. Until then, Tight Lines!

Very happy with the 12'
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.Intothewild7 months agoFor a price like this you can't find a better one, feel smooth can casting, it has right amount of flex when casting 4-5 oz of weight, not too flimsy nor stiff. Only con about this rod is the first guide from the handle is kinda small compare to other surf rod, I felt like this could restrict the flow of line coming out, but it still cast pretty far, I test cast it on a football field with 4 oz, it went over 100yds easily without effort.

Not my favorite rod.
This reviewer rated product 3 out of 5 stars.Sharkbait6 months agoI bought this for a fishing trip to FL. I was not exspecting the rod to be so soft. If felt soft to cast 4oz. Will most likely change out the eyes on the rod. Comparing to 125$ and up rods. I don't think you can buy a batter rod for 45$.
