Perfectly satisfied.
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.Jazzmaker4 years agoPuchased about a month ago. This is the hand tiller model. Using it on a lightly modified Lowe 14 foot Jon boat. (aka a "bateau" where I come from). Courteous and professional customer service department in regards to sales. (No issues with the motor, so haven't had a need to call them back) Motor shipped promptly, packaging complete and intact. Felt like Christmas in May. Battery drain much lower than expected.

The fisherman's trolling motor
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.Chick2 years agoThis trolling motor is for the fisherman who is out to fish. Someone who wants good value and performance, at an affordable price. Not for the Captain Gadget, who wants more features than performance.

Good Trolling motor
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.jakgoesfishing3 years agoI have one on my boat and it pulls my boat silently as I fish for bass. It also has the power to pull my aluminum boat fast as well when I don't want to turn on the motor to scare the fish away. I would recommend a bigger trolling motor with more power if you have a bigger boat,

This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.Kim f3 years agoPurchased at academy sports. The sales person was extremely helpful. The motor was easy to install. Jumped in boat to go try out. Performed very well on a 18 foot x 6 foot aluminum gator tail boat. Excellent for catching redfish near mudflats

Perfect for my boat.
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.gator674 years agoThe local store did not stock the 42 inch shaft, but the staff placed the order for me in the store. It was shipped at no charge to my home and was received on the third business day. The install was easy and it is plenty strong for my Carolina Skiff JV 15.

Ranger Guy
This reviewer rated product 3 out of 5 stars.Clutes591 year agoI've always been a Minn Kota guy but thought the new ones were big and bulky looking. I went by Motorguides recommended motor size/boat size chart and I purchased a Motorguide x5 and didn't care for the take off for my 19ft Ranger. Even on speed setting #1 in calm water, I couldn't go as slow as I would have liked. I also didn't care for the speed control knob. It's hard to change speeds with your foot. I returned it and purchased a Motorguide x3. Now I can go slow but in moderate wind the ... trolling motor has trouble keeping up. lol Maybe I'm just hard to please, I don't know. When you spend a lot of money on something it should be exactly what you want it to be. I felt like I did my homework before purchasing. I like the Motorguides more compact look vs. the Minn Kota and the smooth action of the foot control. I don't care for the speed control knob for the Motorguide and I wish the foot control didn't have to travel so much to turn the trolling motor. Overall it's a decent trolling motor. I'm not dissatisfied with the trolling motor but not completely satisfied either. Use the Motorguide chart for the correct size trolling motor recommended for your boat. If you have a 17-19ft boat get a motor bigger than the x3.

Great product!
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.HWP7253 years agoI bought this trolling motor a couple of weeks ago. Ordered it on a Sunday night and it was at my door 2 days later! Mounting was easy. I had an older Minn Kota freshwater bow mount, and the holes matched up perfect with this new mount. I have an 18' aluminum bay boat and we used the new Riptide all day (10 hours) out on the lake and still had 30% battery left for the trolling motor. The 55lb thrust had no problem pulling my boat around the lake. No issues at all. Great product!

Great trolling motor
This reviewer rated product 4 out of 5 stars.ScottW_925682 years agoI bought this 3 months ago and like it. The only downfall is the screw in the head unit keeps shearing off. I have replaced the screw and nut 4 times in just the past year alone. You have to disconnect the TM if you are going into heavy chop. Then put it back on when your at your fishing destination.

Solid trolling motor
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.ScottW_925682 years agoThis is an exceptional trolling motor. You will notice that the shaft is aluminum and fiberglass. This way when you go through heavy chop it does not shear bolts off like the competitors trolling motors do.
