Waterloo RodsI recently purchased 2 Waterloo Rods. One bait casting Salinty and one Phanthom spinning rod. They are very light with quick tips, but yet have strong backbones. Both allow me to to cast better and further. I highly recommend these rods.

What does medium moderate power mean?
Asked by: dp1099
The medium moderate power on the Waterloo Rod Company Phantom M Freshwater/Saltwater Spinning Rod refers to the overall stiffness of the blank and the blanks ability to react. Where a light power would be used for small fish - a heavy power would be used for heavier and bigger fish. For a medium power rod, the rod is best matched with a lure weighing 1/8 to 1/2 ounce and a line weight of 6-14 lbs. The rod power is simply the rod's strengh or ability to life weight from the tip - the amount of force needed to bend the rod. This rod is suggested for freshwater, bass fishing.
