Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product for the money. Bought this product as my first personal rangefinder. Was skeptical because it was cheap.I don't usually shoot more then 4-500 yards.Out in the field I was impressed. It will pick up just about anything as long as your steady. If you don't the range button down while looking at the object your trying to range it will throw a constant laser and forsure give you a reading. It picked up small things such as a mocking bird on a power line at 70 yards.I ranged up to 450 yards with it thus far.Seems to been a bargain!Great product by Nikon.I highly recommend

Rated 4 out of 5 by from simple and compact I varmit hunt and until now I have had to rely on eye sight to judge my distance. Was I wrong,i used my new aculon(AL11) to see how far I was actually shooting.I shot 10 different distances out to 400 yards and had a crystal clear view.Although I haven't had it long i'm impressed with the whole package so far. Very clear, seems to range out to the distance Nikon says it will reach, even ranged a fence post at 275 yards. My next purchase will be a long range rifle scope.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Won't lock on dark targets Bought this range finder 2 weeks ago, the only problem I have is that while shooting in a 3D event it would not lock on to dark targets. Being told that all range finders do that because of the lack of reflection surface. I want to use this for 3D events, not sure what to do.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great clarity and accuracy Bought it for my husband for Christmas. Compared to others he has used, he really loves it. Seems to be very accurate and clear. I figured Nikon would be the way to go. Yes. Yes it was.

Can this range finder show/record the geographic coordinates (i.e. latitude and longitude) of the object focused on?

Asked by: Al_2015
Hello Al-2015, The Nikon ACULON Laser Range Finder has the following key features: • Measurement range: 5-500 meters/6-550 yards • High-quality 6x finder with multilayer coating • Distant Target Priority mode is employed • Sustained pressing of the POWER ON/Measurement button activates continuous measurement function • Automatic power shut-off (after approx. 8 sec. unoperated) • Default to “Last Use” settings • Rainproof — JIS/IEC protection class 4 (IPX4) equivalent (under our testing condtions) • Invisible/Eyesafe EN/IEC Class 1M Laser The Nikon ACULON Laser Range Finder is conveniently programmed to display the range of the furthest target among a group of targets measured, which is particularly useful when the subject is partially obscured by grass or brush. The Nikon Laser Rangefinder uses an invisible laser beam for measuring. It measures the time the laser beam takes to travel from the rangefinder to the target and back. Laser reflectivity and measurement results may vary according to climatic and environmental conditions, as well as the color, surface finish, size, shape and other characteristics of the target.
