Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent optics I went to the sporting goods store with the intention of purchasing a pair of vortex diamondbacks 10x42 to replace my Redfield rebel 10x42s. While comparison shopping, I happened to look through the Monarch 5 10x42. The images were sharper with better color transmission. The Monarchs were also more comfortable to use. With the Diamondbacks , it was difficult for me to keep my pupils centered on the lenses and avoiding "blackouts" even when adjusting the interpupillary distance. The Monarch's comfort and superior optics won out for me over the diamondback's larger apparent field.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from State Park Ranger Amazing binoculars top of the line I must say I was going to go with the 8 x 42 but I decided to go with the 10 x 42 which it ended up being perfect for the use that I need them for I was going to choose other name brands but this binocular definitely surpasses other brands great job Nikon really happy with your binoculars

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Binocular The Nikon Monarch 5 10X42 Binocular represents the best binocular on the market in it's class. I have now carried this binocular on a couple of dozen hunts and spent hours behind them with no complaints. Whether I am glassing mule deer in the mid day sun or watching elk at last light they have been sharp and clear. The Monarch 5 is light weight and compact to carry as well as durable and easy to use. The eye relief is more than ample for use with glasses and the focus knob is quick and convenient. The very nice included neck strap and carry case complete the package rendering this the most bang for the buck in a hunting binocular.

Which is stronger 10x42 or 10x50 I would like to buy a set that is good at seeing things good

Asked by: bobbyddd
Hello bobbyddd, The 10 x 52 Binoculars are a better choice versus the Nikon Monarch 5 10 x 42 Binoculars due to the lens gathering more light, which is important in low-light activities such as astronomy or hunting at dawn or dusk. However, the larger the lenses are, the more the binoculars will weigh.

How does Monarch5 compares to Monarch3?

Asked by: Ron45
Hello Ron45, The Nikon Monarch 5 10 x 42 Binoculars and the Nikon Monarch 3 10 x 42 Roof Prism Binoculars are similar in that they are both waterproof, fogproof and share the same magnification. The main differences are the size and weight. You may compare the two products by clicking on "add to compare" under the product image on the website and then selecting "go to compare page".
