Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works great after i figured it out. Just got this today. Was worried about the light not working but after tinkering it works. No wiring diagram didn't help. I attached a pic of the correct wiring to get light to work.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible As the above posters, no wiring diagram included. Used test light to find hot going out for red/green, and logical ground plugs,.but no matter how connected this switch does not illuminate...waste of time and money.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't buy it Bought it yesterday doesn't come with instructions I spent about an hour trying to figure out how to wire it when I finally got it actually turn my lights on and off I saw that it doesn't light up it's not worth buying

Rated 1 out of 5 by from ???? No instructions, so I used the best logical connections, and no illumination at all under any circumstances. Could just be defective. Bad thing is: driving 15 miles to nearest Academy to buy and then return. Also the yanking of the old one out (while standing on my head) and then trying to get the new one in and to light up. Some factory testing would have been appreciated.

I give up!  I've worked this switch every way possible and can't get the switch itself to illuminate.  Please share the wiring diagram to make this switch perform as advertised.

What is the panel hole size for this switch? Also, what is the voltage rating for the illumination terminals? What is the environmental rating of the part, IP-65?  Is there a datasheet for this part? Do you sell a clear boot for this switch?

Asked by: Country_Bumpkin
Hello Country_Bumpkin, The Marine Raider On/Off/On Illuminated Toggle Switch has paddle levers fit panels up to 1/4"-details tab and has an alternating current = 125 volts and direct current = 12 volts with 15 Amps. The toggle switch is black with a plastic lever and locking ring with paddle seal and knurled cap nut. It is used for running lights and anchoring lights separately. Our toggle switches are not IP rated and we do not carry a clear toggle switch boot, at this time. Academy Sports + Outdoors wants all customers to be fully satisfied with their purchases, and our Returns Policy reflects this commitment. Currently, we do not offer a datasheet or a clear boot switch, but we accept returns if unsatisfied with the item.

Johanna, that doesn't explain what the terminals are for. Thanks AcademyDante.  I figured out that it was DPDT...now I'm trying to wrap my head around how that is different from a 3 terminal on-off-on toggle.  I'm looking for a terminal wiring diagram.

Asked by: dfwgreg
Hello dfwgreg, The Marine Raider On/Off/On Illuminated Toggle Switch has only five terminals and is a SPDT (Single Pole Double Throw) switch. We will need to know exactly which switch you have in order to research to see if the appropriate wiring diagram is available. Please feel free to contact Customer Service at (888) 922-2336 to inquire and see if the correct wiring diagram is on file or can be provided. You may also contact the manufacturer of the switch that you currently have.

Why are there 6 terminals?  My current (non lighted) on-off-on toggle has 3 (used for turn signals).  Middle is hot and one side goes to one turn signal and the other to the other.

Asked by: dfwgreg
Hello dfwgreg, The Marine Raider On/Off/On Illuminated Toggle Switch has only five terminals. The picture displays two prongs on each side and one in the middle.

Is this a DPDT or DPST switch? I need the DPDT for anchor lights when anchored and anchor/navigation lights when underway.

Asked by: 9636
Hello 9636, The Marine Raider On/Off/On Illuminated Toggle Switch is a SPDT (Single Pole Double Throw) switch.
