Don't believe that negative YouTube Video Review! If you watched the negative video review, please take another look at the P-223 4-12x40 BDC 600!! There are several issues in the video that I'm not experiencing when I compare it to MY P-223 4-12x40 BDC 60 scope.
Some BIG things just off the top of my head..
The ballistic yardage says 3240fps because that is the published muzzle velocity printed on the box of ammo by the manufacturer. I shoot 5.56 so my velocity 3165, as printed on the box. The velocity difference doesn't matter when zero'ing-in the scope, if using the Nikon.com Spot-On BDC calculator, because you enter YOUR ammo of choice from the list and Spot On calulates it!
The distance "clicks" are NOT in 50 yard increments. In fact, there are several clicks in-between each 50 yard distance. Example, when going from 450 to 500 yards, there are eight clicks in between. So, even if your velocity is a little slower than the recommended 3240fps, you can compensate with a click or two, or three, up to eight if needed, to hit your target. You don't have to ONLY use the 100, 200, 250, 300, 350, 400, 450 etc. marks. You can select an increment in-between.
The distance from the barrel to the center of the scope is more than the standard 1.5" on an AR, that's true. However, the Spot On calculator ask you to verify the height of YOUR scope and adjusts the zero-in calculations. In the field or on the range, you can easily compensate for any extra scope-height issues (if any) by using the incremental clicks in-between each 50 yards,
The alignment marks DO line up with the yardage indicators on the turret, just as they should! I see in the video that his did not. Mine do. Maybe that is something Nikon improved upon.
Perhaps I have a newer version of this scope and new features were added. I'm just glad that I DIDN"T watch the that video review before buying the P-223 4-12x40 BDC 60 because I'm not seeing those issues on mine.

Excellent For the moneuLooking for a scope on a budget, this scope performs great. The turret system my round were hitting about 2" high at the 200 and 300 marks with a 100 zero shooting out to those ranges. But easy fix just going 2 clicks less than the designated marks, for the money tho you can't go wrong. I'd recommend it to anyone!

Exactly What I OrderedI am extremely pleased with this product. It fit my needs perfectly for my rifle and was at a very affordable price. I appreciate it was shipped in a big anonymous box with extra protection so that others would not know what was inside and it did not get broken. It was also delivered in a timely manner, I believe it was only two days until it arrived. Great service from the internet purchase.

best of a bunchi purchased this scope instead of the 3-9 because the rapid action turrets. this scope has not let me down i coupled it with the p series rings and dialed it in in less than 60 rounds and now im shooting bottle cap sized groups at a measured 100 yds. i have been able to shoot at a 300 yd target no problem about 3 in groups consistently. what i have learned is the bdc seems to be off but the rapid action turrets are spot on. personal opinion way better the modern redfields and bushnells i purchased and sold . has held its zero perfectly and i am not gentle with my rifle 10 miles down washboard dirt road in back of a jeep.

Really good scope for the priceIt's a really good scope I have shot up to 600yards very accurate just. The one thing that I didn't like it didn't come with good derections on how you use the Turrets. I would recommend this scope to a friend

Good Scope for the moneyTracking seemed to be correct, at 100 yards anyway. I did a "box test". Google it. Test your scope tracking with this test. I know enough about ballistics (very little) to know that there are lots of variables that go into bullet drop compensation. Test with the same ammo your rifle shoots best, stick with that ammo, and record your results to see what the hold over points and adjustments get you. The glass is very clear for a $250.00 scope. I would say the image you get looks better than most scopes at twice the price. I wish Nikon made a line of fixed power mildot scopes. Turrets are good. Be careful with the turret screws. I stripped one out. They swapped the scope for a new one. That is good customer service.

great valueI installed this scope on a hand built AR, trying to build a match quality rifle on a budget, so far this scope is incredible. My home range is only 200 yards so i drove to a 1000 yard range today, using the reticle at 400-600 yards it is perfect after a very easy 100 yard zero at home.
I don't think this can be beat for the price. Excellent in.low light as well.. I am going to buy another for a coyote carbine AR.

Does great job.to update my review this scope is on a Ruger M77 V/T 223 I zero at 100 yards and use turrets from 100 to 500 yards it worked great and my 500 yard target had 2 1/2 in groups I don't know how it works on other rifles but I do reload my own ammo . with this gun and scope combo it works great for me .
