great scopeBought this for my seekins 300 blackout about two months ago. Just laser bore sighted it,didn't have time to take it to the range to fine tune it. Went to ranch to look for some hogs, when this coyote walked out about 100 yrds. Shot him above his two front legs dead center in his chest. Great scope. For the guy with the 6.8, I've shot plenty of hogs with my 300 blackout. Last one I shot was 250 lbs at 125 yrds. Using 130 grain supersonic bullet.

Good valueThis is a typical good value Nikon riflescope. Optics are clear and bright beyond its fairly low price point.
The easily resettable turrets are a plus and custom caps are available for different weight projectiles. It comes with a 115 grain cap which was ideal for me. The only perceived drawback is the center of the reticle. The tiny circle with cross hairs inside is just too "busy" to be useful to me.
The Spot-On ballistic software is very handy and is a great enhancement to a versatile scope.
I used the "P" series two piece mounts as well and they work beautifully.

Great Scope for the priceJust got mine, Wonderful scope. Well worth the price. Mounted with a set of P-300 Nikon scope rings this is the best set up for the AR 15 with a .300 Blackout upper I have seen. Very easy to use.

Hard to beat for price/performanceWorks great on my Mini-14, delivering consistent performance in spite of the rifle's relatively harsh operation. Mounted in the factory rings without any trouble.
Did manage to vibrate free one of the adjuster knob covers (not surprising for a Mini-14 since that rifle is a PITA for recoil vibration). Fortunately found the pieces and reassembled. Zeroed with a bore sight and back to nice grouping in just a few minutes.
A quick email to NikonUSA support confirmed it is okay to use purple Loctite with the adjustment knob screws to help prevent future trouble of anything vibrating free.
All in all, decent piece at a decent price, backed with good support. Can't ask for much more.

good scope for the priceI swore i would never buy a cheap scope... But i could focus this one well and it had clear glass, at least the one in the store did. I had to order this one because they didn't have one with the 300 blackout reticle in the store. Its still a good clear scope but a little distorted around the perimeter... Not bad at all for the price. I really like how you can input your ballistic data (bullet weight and muzzle vel) on nikon's website and they will tell you what range each reticle dot will be zeroed for.
What scope rings do I need in order to mount on my AR15?

I have mine mounted in a Burris qick detach P.E.P.R. mount. Nikon also makes a similar mount. Both put the mounted scope at the proper eye position height for AR platforms. They allow you to have a comfortable, consistent cheek weld when using magnified optics on an AR.
