Rated 1 out of 5 by from Didn't work!! I followed the instructions and it did nothing! Very disappointing

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really Amazing Product This product saved my back. I didn't want to put just water in my basketball hoop because I've had problems with that on my last one. I used basegel instead of about 8 bags of sand. I put one bottle of base gel in my base and it turned the water into a firm gel in a couple minutes....very cool. It was even cheaper than sand.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works! I follow the instructions worked great, and when the lawn care guy cut a big gash in the corner of the base the gel has held.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product We recently purchased the Spalding 54" Acrylic Portable Basketball System from Academy Sports and saw the base gel on display. Its really amazing stuff and easy to use. I recommend pouring it in the base and then tilting the base back a bit prior to adding water. Check the base occasionally to see if more water is needed (due to weather). I highly recommend this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for indoor water application bought this product two weeks ago from academy sports. installed two portable basketball goals that required adding water or sand. sand takes two long and costs too much but this gel added to water turns the water into jello and is easy to use and not messy plus the installation of both goals adding thirty five gallons of water to each and one h2old base gel to each took less than thirty minutes. try adding that much sand in thirty minutes plus the back strain and you will appreciate this gel.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!! After 3 months our basketball goal fell down and we opened it up to barely anything in there.... My husband did just as the packaged directed!!!! Called and all I got was a voicemail... VERY DISSATISFIED!!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor product, even worse customer service! I bought this product in April, and used as directed. But, when I had to add water, the gel dissolved. I tried to call H2Old but i only got a voicemail. I tried conacting them through their website, and got a response. They were supposed to send me another bottle, but as of today (7-30-14) I have yet to receive anything. I have tried emailing them several times now without any response.

Does adding this to water cause expansion? Meaning if the base is full to the top of water do you need to empty some before adding this due to expansion or can you just add it to a full base. Specifically talking about a Century WaveM free standing bag.

Asked by: bubbag
Hello bubbag, No, H2Old 16 oz. Base gel™ will never exceed the volume of water it is added to.

Hello ... you say that to dissolve the Base Gel I should "simply make a table salt and water solution and pour it into the base on top of the BaseGel."  How much salt and how much water ....  1 gallon? 2?  and how long will it take ?

Asked by: miguel1043
Hello miguel1043, To deactivate the H2Old 16 oz. Base gel™ dilute about 10 - 12 tablespoons of salt in a gallon of water. Then just pour it into the goal base. The gel will return to a liquid state in about 5-10 minutes. If you intend to use the basegel again, we suggest you flush the base thoroughly with water before refilling.

Will the gel freeze and crack the base?

Asked by: Waves
Hello, Waves. According to H2Old, the BaseGel/water gel will freeze at temperatures below 32 degrees F (0 degrees C) and will return to a firm, stable gel as temperatures rise above 32 degrees F. BaseGel’s performance will not be affected by repeated freeze-thaw cycles and will last up to 7 years.
