Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very poor product I don't know why they call this grip tape because it's not. More like sticky cellophane. Do not buy this. Worst grip tape on the market. Returning it to store. Don't waste your time or money.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It works but... This tape actually works very well. There is a catch, though. It does not work with the Wilson Gripping Solvent or water. These strips are not water activated. That's why nobody's grips (other reviews) will go all the way on. I tried soapy water, which always works with water-activated tape, but I had the same experience as others. It went on about two inches and stopped. I took that strip off (after it dried) and used paint thinner instead. The grip went on perfectly. You can also use lighter fluid. These tape strips aren't as long as others, but I cut one in half and used one half on the butt of the club and left a space about 5/8" and put the other half toward the bottom of the grip. It worked fine. I don't really think you need to do this, though, as the stickiness from the tape/solvent actually moves toward the bottom of the grip as you slide the grip on.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from WORST GRIP TAPE EVER i ruined two very expensive grips on this stuff, first i thought i must have done something wrong, ive been gripping my own clubs for years. nope, its just horrible, the "tape" is exactly as all the other reviewers have stated.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from It's adhesive.... but not really "tape". This is less a tape than an adhesive sandwiched between the two removable protective layers.Once applied to the shaft the outer protective layer is removable leaving behind on the shaft a sort of "spider web" of thin adhesive. The adhesive is sticky but thin and looks as though it would dissolve easily but would not stay put as there really is no backing ( like actual tape has). Certainly could not be used to build up grips. I left the adhesive on the club I put it on and taped over that with standard double sided grip tape and did not use this on any other clubs.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible. Stay Away I thought any grip tape was fine for re-gripping clubs. I was wrong. This tape is the worst. It is super thin, and its near impossible to get the second side of backing off. They are too short to cover the length of a standard grip. When I went to take it off, the tape turned into some sort super sticky mush. Nothing like ACTUAL TAPE at all. It totally lost its shape and consistency, and it ripped when I put solvent on it. Horrible. Don't do this to your clubs. You will regret it when you try to get this stuff off.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bad Adhesive I regripped my club with this tape for the first time and had the hardest time getting the grip on the club, had to use way more grip solvent then any other tape. The other part is the tape is not long enough for most standard grips so you end up having to use 2 or 3 pieces of tape to make regrip 1 club.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Garbage This tape is horrible. First of all, it's super thin and tears easily during grip application. Furthermore, it is VERY cumbersome to peel the paper back to get to the adhesive once the tape is on the shaft. Finally, it does not lubricate well and it dries in less than 30 seconds. I'm not exaggerating. I absolute DROWNED the tape and the inside of the grip with grip solvent - still bonded halfway thru the process. I ruined two expense grips using these crappy tape strips. The tape bonded with the grip halfway on and I had to destroy the grip to remove it. STAY AWAY!!!
