Nikon Quality at a good priceI bought this item at Academy about three weeks ago. I had a 10x50 Mead in which something inside the sealed unit broke loose (probably a spring) and dropped down in front of the lens blocking vision on the left side. I worked my way through every set of binoculars Academy had on display; none had the right combination of features until I got to the Nikon Aculon. The image was clear, focus was good, and the magnification was right. I wanted something that I could use on the rifle range to double as a spotting scope. At 100 yards, 30 caliber holes are just barely visible, but adequate for me. I suspect they would visible at 200 as well if shoot-n-see targets were utilized. However, as good as they are, they are not rubber armored, so they are probably not waterproof. Owners needs to take care not to expose them to water. Still a good product, and hands down better than the Mead. If being used as a spotter, the user would be advised to get the tripod adapter available through Nikon and mount the binocular on a tripod, because at 100 yards, every time the user's heart beats the field of vision shakes and moves. Some method of steadying the binocular is needed.

Aculon is right on! from
Good BinocularsThe feel and grip of this product is just right. I never have had a 16 power Binocular, I am used to the 10 power, I am glad I got these. They are easy on my eye's.
The eye cups rise and fall easily. The strap is right. Also the focusing is great. I would and recommend this product to every one who is looking for a full size bino with top notch features.

Alright binos. Got water in them first time out.Great glass for price. Good fov. But when they got water in them the first time out in the field, I was thoroughly disappointed.
If Nikon wants to make it right, That would be nice.
