Great Rod For The Price!!!I got the 7'M spinning model for my birthday and I love it. I was hesitant about using it at first. I mean it's not the same kind of whippy little spinning rods I usually use, but after my first time using it I've been very surprised by its performance. Matched with a Pflueger Supreme MGX 30 and 20lb Suffix 832 braid, this rod has the backbone to pull fish out of the weeds and into the boat! While it's rated for lures in the 3/8 - 3/4 ounce weights, I feel like that's pretty high. I've used this rod for 1/8 -1/4 ounce shaky heads, light texas rigs, and most often a weightless soft jerkbait or stick bait. Heck, when I want to fish a 3/8 - 1/2 football jig in clear water on light line this is the rod I reach for! It fishes like a 7' M casting rod. The specs say that the rod has a moderate action, but it's not like a moderate action crankbait rod. This rod is more like a moderate-fast action. It's fast enough to get a good hookset, but it has a nice parabolic bend that helps you keep your fish hooked up. I will say that this rod is slightly tip heavy, but it balances out really well once you put a reel on it. All Star Rods has really been stepping up their game lately. We were all disappointinted when the old All Stars were discontinued, but this rod proves that All Star is coming back.
