piece of junkBought bike for grandson. pedal & crank messed up. No bikes in stock. Ordered parts from huffy. Been 3 weeks and still don't have them. Wrote a nice review that didn't place blame on Academy or Huffy. They said my review didn't meet their standards, so writing negative review of Academy and Huffy.

great bikeBought this bike for my 7 yr old son for Christmas. He loves it. Rides all around the neighborhood with his friends. Husband put it together in about 30 minutes. Only problem he had was that the brake cord came attached incorrectly and he had to completely take it off and reattach it. Sturdy bike and very pleased with purchased.

PerfectI bought this for my 10 year old and it is perfect. He loves the color and it was quick and easy to assemble. Seems to be holding up well (the last bike we bought did not do so well). I am happy with the product, the price, and the service.

Great Bike. Great Price.I did quite a bit of shopping before purchasing a birthday bike for my 7-year-old. Since he is growing like a weed, I needed something that could adjust with him but not cost too much.
So far, this bike has been great. Academy assembled the bike which saved me a headache. The seat comes with a quick release which is perfect for quickly adjusting the height of the seat.
I also liked that the bike has both a pedal brake and a front handbrake. This introduces him to handbrakes without forcing him into nothing but handbrakes. There are not many bikes of this size that do that.

For a 20" bike, what would be the minimum height/inseam of the child riding it?
Asked by: RickOKC
When searching for a bike, it is recommended to search in terms of the cross bar height.
1.) At least 1” of clearance from the highest part of the cross bar (top tube).
• Wear the type of clothing and shoes likely to be worn when riding to test for comfort – and fit. The best way to select the right size of bike is to “straddle” the bike, with both feet flat on the ground. Measure the clearance between the crotch and the bicycle's top cross bar (top tube).
• You should have between 1” and 3” clearance, depending upon your anticipated riding patterns. For instance, 3” clearance is more comfortable for mountain bike riding. For BMX riding, a 2” clearance is sufficient. For rides through the neighborhood, a 1” clearance is sufficient.
2.) Minimum leg length- from the top of the seat to the ground.
• You sit on your bike when you ride, so there are quick ways to determine whether you will be comfortable and have selected the right size bike, just by sitting on the bike. First, make sure the seat is in the right position for riding. With the pedal closest to the floor, fully extend the leg with only a slight bend in the knee. Reach for the handlebars, making sure the reach is a comfortable distance.
