Rated 1 out of 5 by from I would rate it 'Zero stars' if I could. My gal and I just bought this for our garage. Already overlooking that at 5'10" I barely fit my head onto the backboard, we decided we inly needed a basic bench anyway. It took us less than 10min to realze that the absolutely correctly applied #15 screws were too short to connect to the absolutely correctly placed parts, washers, and nuts. We are returning the equipment which will likely be ground up as scrap waste rather than be restocked. By the way, 15 years ago I worked for Academy so I do know that they trash rather than restock most returned items. This bench is a waste even for cheap and basic. Find something nice used if you want to shave costs.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Light duty bench This bench is only good for light weight lifting. If you use it for about 80 lbs. dumbells as a flat bench press, it would crack the wood part of bench like mine did. My advise, just pay extra for the heavy duty $89.99 Marcy Utility Bench for the Power Rack. However, this $89.99 Marcy Utility Bench for the Power Rack bench wont decline, but if feels solid and safe.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Poor design The adjustment for the back rest is a poor design. The tab that holds the position broke off on my very first use. Luckily I have access to a fab shop and was able to fix it. You get what you pay for here! Still recommended for the price.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Too Small I'm 6'2 and the decline is too short and very uncomfortable to do decline situps or anything else. The short part doesn't go flat and the machine is narrow and a bit unstable for me. It was nice that it was cheap, but you get what you pay for. I'll be looking for a more substantial bench.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice bench -- assembly instructions need work The bench itself is very nice. It is stable and sturdy. For the price, you are getting what you pay for. What needs to be improved though are the assembly instructions. The current instructions are a single picture with a bunch of arrows for which screws and bolts to use where. What would be nice is a more step-by-step approach.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this! I am pleased with this bench and most importantly the price!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Marcy Bench Not a bad little bench for the price. Sturdy enough for light bench press and other upper body excersices. If you are looking into serious weight lifting, something heavier duty would be a better choice.

So if I weigh 190 and bench 325 it will exceed the weight limit?

Asked by: Cort35
I wouldn't put 325 on the Marcy standard bar. Maybe get an Olympic bar.
