perfect for my needs.I bought this racquet about a month ago.
I have had one just like it for about two years.
It is light enough not to hurt my elbow or cause my sholder much trouble.
I am 68 years old and can't handle the heavy racquet any longer.
This Racquet is good for playing the net, and will let me make returns from the baseline with a lot of pace. If I am playing about ten foot from net and don't hit the ball as center as I could, the ball will still carry over the net.
The Ti6 I used to play with would fall short. This is a perfect racquet for me.
If I could find a better one, I would buy it. But I can't. I've tried.

Good Beginner RacketBeing a Hammer fan for some years, Hammer 5.3 does not disappoint. It is lightweight, got a large sweet spot and feels comfortable in hand. I wish it had more spin. It is a little pricey for a beginner racket, but I prefer it over Head's Liquid Metal series and Prince Dome series.

My favorite racquet, and I have alot.I've had this racquet less than a year. I played with a head ti6 before that. I need the light weight to help my tennis elbo. I liked the ti6, but the Hammer gives me more power and better off center hits, with about the same racquet weight. I love it.

Can I get it restrung at a different poundage for free, I'll buy the strings
Asked by: ubone
You may bring your racquet to Academy Sports + Outdoors and we will string it for a nominal fee (does not include price of string). Please remember that the service we provide is limited to restringing. We don't offer racquet tune-ups, replace grommets or offer other racquet services. Service schedules vary from store to store, so it's a good idea to check with your local Academy Sports + Outdoors store for a convenient time. We also offer a free stinging service to customers when they buy a racquet and string together.
