Happy with itBought it for wearing while kayaking and it work great for me. It does not push up and strangle you like many other vest does when you sit down in the kayak. Might be better ones out there but it sure works well for me.

ok but there are betterWe bought this vest because it was a great price. It is a little uncomfortable because of the way the padding is placed, but does the job. If you can spend more, get a better one. If not, this works.

What is the maximum weight limit for the small and XX-Large vests?
Asked by: JoeArmstrong
The sizing information, for the MTI Adventurewear Excursion Personal Flotation Device, is listed below for your reference. The manufacturer does not list a maximum weight limit for the vest.
S/M: 30" - 36"
L/XL: 36" - 46"
2XL/3XL: 46" - 56"
The manufacturer does state:
A person weighing more than average will not need a life jacket with more buoyancy. The US Coast Guard minimum requirement for an adult Type III PFD is 15.5 lbs of buoyancy. The human body weighs roughly 7-12 lbs in water, so an adult life jacket would provide plenty of flotation.
We specify two different buoyancies on our life jackets, a Minimum and a Designed buoyancy. The minimum is the US Coast Guard’s required amount of buoyancy for a life jacket based on type (adult, youth, child, infant, etc.).
This, particular, flotation device has a 15.94 lb. buoyancy.
