Manuals and Rebates
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Economical quality product Purchased for hauling 3 family bikes while camping. Assembly was easy and finished in less than 10 minutes. This rack is very sturdy, well designed, and worth the money. I looked at several other manufacture's products. Those racks were 2 to 3 times the price, worked the same, and had less room between the bikes. I'm not worried about swaying because that has never been a problem in my 30+ years of hauling bikes. I care more about the space between the bikes so the bikes don't push up against the bike next to it. The bike holders on each bar are rubbery to absorb bouncing due to bumpy roads, but flexible enough to bend for the wider bar on my high-end bike. There are spacers between each bike holder so the bikes won't move closer together while traveling. This is an important feature that one manufacturer did not put in their design. Overall this is a well designed product that is less expensive than the others!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent bike rack Assembled quickly and easily. All connections tight. Rack very sturdy on my car. Very satisfied!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Gets the job done. Not as good as the 4-bike Allen rack that I purchased several years ago. Main problem is difficulty installing the keeper pin for the tilt feature when the rack is loaded. Load seems to cause the alignment of the holes to become offset. I will drill it out and it should be okay.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very good rack. Have had almost a year. No problems. Works good with both size hitches. Don't know about loose bolts, but they are lock nuts and have to be tighten with tools. Has carried two adult and one kid bikes. Will definitely buy again. It travels, with bikes, on 800 mile round trips.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from junk junk junk, did you hear me junk Please do not buy this product. I bought one in Arizona and by the time I was in Portland Or the straps would not even tighten up. Thank god for bungee cords.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst product ever Bought this today for a trip and it not even worth 1 star! Every single connection on this rack is lose, not a single tight connection anywhere! The bolts are all too long, which would be okay if the nuts were able to screw all the way down and make a tight fit...but they don't. So every place that has a bolt will jiggle. The box gives you "no wobble" bolts, to secure to the hitch....what a lie...more like no wobble only in park with no wind! If I was academy I would remove these from the stores and get something of better quality! Returning mine!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome rack!! Bought this at a San Antonio Academy for a weekend get away for my family.  Worked exactly as described.  Rack assembled quickly, was easy to install in my Explorer's hitch, and rode like a Boss with three bikes (1 adult and 2 kids) installed.  Could not be happier with my purchase!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't do it!!!! This carrier doesn't fit tightly in your hitch...bikes are thrown around and scratched up! Not enough room for 2 bikes let alone 3....unless they are 16" kiddie bikes! Returned to store same day I purchased it.....

Does this work with a women's bike ??

Asked by: Megadon
Hello Megadon, Regarding the Allen Sports Deluxe 3-Bike Hitch Carrier, when installing a women's style frame - place one carry arm under the front top tube. With the other carry arm - rotate tie-down cradle and place carry in space behind seat tube and below rear down-stay. The Allen 900B adaptor bar is also recommended for this application.

What is the distance from the bolt hole on the hitch connection out and 90 degrees to the back of the curve portion. I will use it on a front of the truck and I need to know if it is long enough to clear the bumper.

Asked by: jim51
Hello jim51, The Allen Company Deluxe 3-Bike Hitch Carrier is compatible with 1-1/4" and 2" hitches. Attached directly is a metal bar that will block anything from touching the curved section, so you really don't have more any more clearance past that point.

how do I tie the bottom portion of the bike so is not swingin

Asked by: palito
Hello, palito. The Allen Company Deluxe 3-Bike Hitch Carrier includes an owner's manual with information on how to use the carrier. The manual indicates that you will need to use a 70” strap (not included) to pull all bicycles together around bottom brackets. The strap should, also, secure the wheels.
