Great Product, Highly Recommend!I used my FT7 Everyday for 4 years. I have used and abused my PolaFT7 and it still works great, I believe it is the most accurate training device I have used and I trust it.

Nice Monitor Wrong DateI just received my FT7, so far I like it and will try out the heart rate monitor tonight. I did notice after setting the date it is displaying the incorrect day of the week, even after double checking I had set it correctly. Not programmed for 2016 leap year?

DisappointedThis was my second FT7; I returned it after 2 frustrating attempted tries. I was getting the old ‘check heart rate transmitter’ message. The fabric chest strap on my first FT7 did the same thing despite following all maintenance directions to the letter. It did work well using my old T31 chest strap for about 1½ years before the watch died after having the battery replaced and several unsuccessful attempted to resuscitate it.
My older Polar heart rate monitor with the T31 chest strap worked just fine and lasted about 4 years of continuous use until it died. It owed me nothing. I did not hesitate to buy your FT7 after my first heart rate monitor died but I have experienced nothing but misery and disappointment since. Can’t you guys go back to what worked?

2nd one wasn't a charmI'm extremely active at the gym. This is my 2nd HR Monitor and it's reading the same error message as the first one. Works for a few months then the shenanigans start. Error reads "Check heart rate transmitter!" So freaking annoying! Heart conditions are hereditary and my family So I need to have a HR Monitor that works!! spend most of my workout time messing around with this. Wet strap/clean strap/changed battery/removed battery for 10 min hoping it would reset. NEVER purchasing another again . Ugh!!

Might be good, can't use it since I can't read it.Attached should be a picture of a new Polar FT7 (red/black) with the 'cool' white-on-black display [this review is specific to that model]. If you look really hard you can make out the numbers on the face. You will not want to be looking that hard during any sort of activity. Either side of the unit are an older Polar receiver and some printed material for reference, showing that there is plenty of ambient light. (note that the old unit is also showing a low battery signal, and is still driving the display at several times the contrast).

Good product for the priceI really like my HR monitor because it allows me to meet zones. The only complaint I have is it sometime only detects every other beat. I gave up trying to figure out how it was placed incorrectly and decide just double the number. So if I'm in the range of 125 and then the monitor reads 62 I know I'm still in my zone. You do get cheated out of calories burned. My main goal is to maintain a HR for x amount of minutes which it's great for.

DisappointedI looooved this monitor at the beginning but about 6 months down the line, the battery died. That's understandable - I replaced the batteries on both the watch and strap. It only worked one or two weeks after that. I tried changing the batteries again and nothing. It never worked again. Now it's just in one of my drawers. So yes, I am very disappointed.
