hard to pumpIve shot pneumatic air rifles all my life, and have never had any trouble pumping one until I got this one today. I shot it 17 times and my shoulder and my back were killiing me. It is VERY hard to pump!!!!!! Im taking it back tomorrow. Ill stick with my Crosman 1400 I got for Christmas 50 years ago. Its much easier to pump, and shoots much harder. This gun is far too much work for only 685 fps.

I love mine!!!I recently purchased my 392 at Academy, for a very good price. So far, I love the air rifle. It reminds me of my grandfather's old Benjamin .177 air rifle. I really like the feel, the finish, and the construction of my 392. It is easy to carry, out in the woods. When you shoulder the air rifle, it is very comfortable and easy to acquire a sight picture to shoot. I think that the wood stock/forearm is of good quality, for the price. I shot a group of .22 RWS pointed lead pellets at 25yds., with the factory open sights. My eyesight is fading quickly, but in daylight, outdoors, I was able to place three shots in a 1/4" group! I was surprised, given my poor eyesight.

Tried and true "Old Reliable"..I bought this air rifle back in the early 70s. It cost $34 back then. Keep a little Pel Oil
on it ever so often and it's always good to go. No telling how many squirrels I've taken with it. Mine is a .177 caliber but obviously a .22 will have more knockdown power. There's a lot of airguns on the market today but in my opinion you can't beat this one.

Great deal!Best price anywhere! Bought to supplement a more powerful air gun. Used for pest control at ranges under 30 yards. Same basic gun being made for decades. Reliable, hard hitting, and accurate.

Excellent entry-level air rifle. This is an excellent entry-level air rifle. It is simple yet elegant. The speed of the pellet can be controlled by the number of pumps you put in. The first few pumps will be easy while the ones after 6 pumps could be hard for someone. The rifle is pretty accurate at a distance of 50 yards in windless environment. This air rifle is the perfect choice for beginner to learn how to shoot. I have been using it to teach my girl friend and our son to shoot. It has been their favorite game ever!

Benjamin Quality Still the SameI remember my Dad buying a Benjamin air rifle back in the 60's for Xmas. The gun had remarkable accuracy. I shot it so much that I wore out the seals. From looking at the specs of today. The gun hasn't changed much over the years except for some cosmetics. The ones back then looked more appealing to the eyes than ones of today. The forward stock looks more like the old Sheridan guns.

Great air gunI bought this as few weeks ago, and have put about 800 pellets through it. It shoots quite accurately. 4 pumps will go through a steel can at 15 yards. At 8 pumps I have put pellets through 1/2 inch solid wood board. Before you do too much though, get a q-tip and acetone, and clean out the paint overspray i the barrel. Also, make sure to put a dap of white paint on the front sight, it helps a lot. Now I can actually see the sights. I have already shot a squirrel, a couple english sparrows and a grackle. It is great for hunting and hits with authority.
