Great price and featuresThe only reel I have seen that has the single hand cast (Quickfire II). These last a while but the Quickfire mechanism wore out after thousands of casts. Could have bought replacement parts but bought new reels.

Great Reel - Awesome Price!I have purchased several of these reels since they first hit the market in the 80's and all but one are still functioning. Just bought a few more for my son who is now learning to enjoy fishing like I did with the Shimano Quickfire series. Academy has always had the best price by far. Definitely a win- win.

Look ma, one hand.If you have ever river fished in South Georgia, You need this reel. Not a matter of, if you are going to get hung up but when you get hung up. It's a cheap reel so break it and buy another but when you are leaning over the water, hanging on to a tree limb with one hand and casting with the other, You'll know why you need Quick Fire. Shimano makes better reels with Quick Fire but for the price of this one, I can afford to abuse it.
