Rated 5 out of 5 by from Freakin Amazing! These are the only artificial bait I buy. I've been on the same boat as people using live shrimp, and not even have a bite. I'll throw a Gulp Shrimp out, and be pulling them in left and right! Plus, they're durable, so I can catch a fish, and throw the same Gulp right back out! Rated 5 out of 5 by from Out fishes Market bait!! We use several Gulp baits for our charters here in South Louisiana. Our Captains prefer gulp since it stays on the hook for such a long time and you can catch several fish on the same bait!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Still Catch Fish! But not a fan of the changes! Discovered Gulp Shrimp years back and thought the bait was way too hard to catch fish which I learned very quickly was incorrect, the flounder and it seemed like every other fish species loved them and they were TUFF as nails. Expensive but you could use one for many fish catches and they worked, so worth it. But that brings us to today's Gulp shrimp, still catch fish but....shrimp of today is very soft, very possible to use one shrimp per flounder, if the fish shakes the shrimp often tears and flings off jighead making it useless. Also the tails of multiple shrimp will fall victim to trash fish which rarely happened in the past. I have noticed 3 changes to the softness of Gulp over the year as it has evolved to very soft. Soft is good for freshwater but very venerable in saltwater applications. I used to say it was worth the extra money to purchase Gulp but now I would say due to the durability the cost would not be worth it versus other scented brands that have twice the baits per pack for same money. Still like and will use other Berkley products and baits but hope they will at least go back to the mid-range on softness for saltwater Gulp.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fish Love These! I tried these for the first time the other day and it was incredible. The bite had really slowed down and it was getting about midday, so I tied on a Berkley Gulp 3" Shrimp and fish just started pounding it. I was surprised how much punishment one bait could take.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Bait The flounder favorites that I have noticed are "Glow body w/Chartreuse Tail," and "Nuclear Chicken." Others say the Copper color works well too.

WHAT SIZE JIGHEAD TO USE FOR A 3'' GULP SHRIMP? BIGSPEK1.

Asked by: BIGSPEK1
Hi BIGSPEK1, Your selection should be based on type of fish and water depth. Your jig must be heavy enough to reach the desired depth, but not so heavy that it sinks too rapidly. As a general rule use 1/8 oz for every 10 feet of water. The Berkley® Gulp!® 3" Shrimp Baits 6-Pack is recommended for fishing Trout/Redfish and when fishing for them in river a 1/8 – 1/4 oz jighead is most recommended.
