LEM Oven Jerky TraysI used to use a counter top jerky dehydrator until I realized it was not keeping the meat above 160 degrees, which is bad and can introduce bacteria into your food. The LEM trays are a perfect solution. I turn the oven to 250 degrees and dry the meat, rotating the trays every 30 minutes, until it's perfectly done. The LEM metal trays are super easy to clean compared to the plastic trays I used to have in my dehydrator. You simply use a drip pan below the meat so your oven stays clean. Just spray the trays with spray on canola oil and then shoot your seasoned ground meat onto the trays with a jerky gun, a couple hours later it pops right off the trays. Then prepare yourself to defend your jerky! My daughters, wife, and friends love it! I start a batch 2 hours before a ball game and at coin toss I am pulling it from the oven. I love LEM products, the only brand I'll use for meat processing in my home.
