Rated 1 out of 5 by from Garbage Had two different spools of this line on two different rigs. I paid double because I lost more rigs on account of line breakage than ANY OTHER line I've ever used !! Even UV rotted line is better than this junk. Wouldn't have it on my rigs if they gave me a lifetime supply ...

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not impressed I bought two spools of 6#. I spooled an ultralite TCI reel and a Shakespear spincast for my cousin. On the utlra light, it kept knotting midway up the line on every other cast. I finally had enough of cutting 5-10 yds off at a time to remove the knotted mess. I eventually just removed it all and am looking for a replacement line, probably 4# this time, but not this particular product. As for the spincast, it was working good until he had a major strike and as he reeled in, it wound itself behind the spool. It has horrible memory issues. I did like the above water visibility of the line and that was the reason why I purchased this line. It is also quite strong but I feel the strength of the line causes the memory issues. Maybe it was a pair of old spools idk, but I wouldn't believe that would be a factor for brand new line.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It works. Handles and casts well like Trilene always does. 4lb not as visible to me as Stren blue but i love how it blends into the water. If you really need to see the line you may want to go no smaller than 6lb test. Myself, I'm loving the 4.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great visibility The color makes it easy to see when a fish swims off with you bait also line jumps more prominent. Good sensitivity for mono. Only a few fish so far but quite happy over all.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Strong, reliable and visible. I started to use this product three years ago. I was looking for a line that I could see. The gold tint lets you see the line but when enters the water it disappears. I caught all these fish on 6 lbs test line over Easter Holiday weekend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Strong line Been using the berkley trilene trans-optic for 7 years now and to me....it is without a doubt, the strongest and easiest line I've ever used. From fishing lakes to rivers with running currents... I sometimes have to cut the line because the knot I tie WON"T break and I normally use 10 Lb. test...hook set is perfect and when fish go into falldowns I still don't lose fish. To me....It is without a doubt, the best and the only line I'll use as long as my fishing days exist. I believe that this line is as strong as some of the braided lines on the market...this is from my experience with fishing braided and fishing with those using braided....I always get..."what line are you using..that is some strong line you got on". Try it...you won't be disappointed.
