Rated 5 out of 5 by from well pleased I am replacing my old winch that was to light weight from the beginning. I doubled the capacity of the old winch. My boat is heavy and the old winch was to small to start with. When I retrieve thee boat the winch has to b pulled on the trailer 2 - 3 feet depending on the slope of the launching ramp. The new winch will solve that problem

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just What Promised Bought and installed about a month ago, and so far it's been great. Plenty of power in the lower gear and easily switched between low and high gears. Brake feature is nice if needed. Seems to be made with a durable coating. After constant use in salty environment I'm hoping it is just as good in the long term. As mentioned it is loud, but functions as it should so noise isn't an issue. Would buy again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from very well built...heavy duty I use boat and winch often, a "HOSS" 21 foot deck boat and 150 HP engine winch is a charm and I am 74.... safety is an issue and this meets all expectations , shipping and delivery excellent

Rated 5 out of 5 by from winch So far I'm very happy with everything. Had recent shoulder surgery and had not had the chance to install it yet, looks just like I expected and I'm sure it will work great.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Marine Raider 2,500 lb. Trailer Winch I use this to pull my 21' boat up to the bow stop with no big issues. The belt that comes with this unit seems well built and not to stretchy which is important to keep the boat from trailer sliding while pulling it from the water. My only issue is that the rubber handle can walk off the steel dowel when forcefully cranking the boat up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Marine Raider 2,500 lb winch review We have a large wakeboard boat of 23 feet. We have been through several winches, some have not even lasted for one use. It is a heavier duty winch than the prior ones. We have only used this winch one time but it is obviously the best one we have purchased to date. The gearing is low which makes it easier to get the boat all the way on the trailer. We have not used the brake. Time will tell but it seems like it will hold up for several seasons.

Does this winch brake automatically when the handle stops moving? What is the "brake" for and when would it be used? How do you know which gear ratio is engaged? If the winch is moved into neutral, what will happen? Thanks!

Asked by: Happy with the thermos
Thanks for finding out all of that information for me....I really appreciate it!

Does this have a 3 bolt pattern?

Asked by: BowhunterBrad
Hello BowhunterBrad, The Marine Raider 2,500 lb. Trailer Winch with Brake bolt pattern is in the shape of a T. You do have the option of only using 3 bolts on this, and this does have the option of mounting onto different trailers. If you use only 3 bolts, make sure the front to back distance is 3.9 inches.
