does the switch stay on 24/7 with electric discharges so that the battery will be drained over an extended period of non use?

Asked by: Russell3
Hello Russell3, The Rule-Mate series of Automated Bilge Pumps features a pump and a non-mercury float switch in a single, compact housing. When the float rises, the pump turns on. There is no on/off cycling and, therefore, no power use until the pump comes on. The pump remains on until the float drops and the pump senses no load against the impeller. Snap-off strainer for easy cleaning. 3/4" hose output.
