Great valueI bought two of these for buddy rods along with two Shimano Sienna 2500 class spinners. Shipping was fast and they were well packed. Tried them out this past weekend and they casted well. Easily handles a 6# flounder and a couple of 200" reds. This is a very nice combo, especially for the price.

Good price. This is a $13 rod. About as cheap as they get but is completely usable and definitely good enough. Good all around freshwater rod if not a little large. Got it for stripers though so it's fine. Combine this with a Shimano ix4000 with 12 pound line and you have a decent combo for around $26. But feels great with a better reel. The line guides are a little on the cheap side but the 2 piece connection is solid and fits deeply. For $13 why not? It's a rod you can throw into your trunk and forget about it. Good buy.

great quality and very versatileGot this rod about 6 years ago down in Port A. Used it down there for sheep head on the jetties and lets just say I had dinner for a couple few nights.
Tore up local ponds and lakes with it. Used it this past weekend out at Lady Bird Lake and caught a few 3 pounders.
This rod will do it all!! I even landed a 44" drum on it with 10 pound mono. Dont beleive me check it out in my instagram (lukas694)
Bought a second one not to long ago and thinking about a third

Great travel rod for the priceI purchased this rod to pair with my Shimano 2000 ($13) spinning reel. I don't treat these items gently and always have them in my truck so I don't care if they get stolen/broken. I have high-end rods when I plan a trip.
But let me tell you....this rod has really impressed! It takes a good deal of abuse and reels them in! I took this cheap 2-piece rod to the dam and fished for striper with a 3 oz weight in heavy current. I thought for sure I would snap it at the joint...giving me a reason to buy a more expensive one. No such luck....the rod performed well.
My only complaint is the seat does not hold the reel very securely when landing a large fish. A little electrical tape will cure this problem, but then defeats the purpose of a travel rod.
I give it 4 stars not for the "feel" or quality of build, but for the whole "package" of price point and quality.
I cannot attest to the long-term dependability of the rod, but even if it lasts only one year, you can't go wrong at $13!
