Worst boots everThese are bulky, heavy, and extremely uncomfortable. The 9 was too small and 9.5 too big if my socks were thin. The part around the ankle is too wide and I constantly had sticks and pine needles going in. It also caused my ankle to sweet and bruise. I went on a 32 mile trip and was in excruciating pain. Unbeerable, I was almost in tears. Blister on my big toe, and all around my heels. No cushion what si ever, felt like walking on wood planks. My feet are still sore and in a lot of pain. These were so bad I literally left them in the mountains and hiked out in flip flops. So incredibly disappointed.

Defective productI got a pair of these hikers About a year ago. It's a good product, I like it. But one month ago, one of the ankle metal hooks just break off, see attached picture. Is anyway to have it fixed/replaced?

Very pleasedI am very pleased with my experience, as a whole. Was initially disappointed you didn't have my size in stock at the store, but received them at home the very next day. I will DEFINITELY shop there again.

Very cute & comfortable right out of the boxI had to get used to the padding around the ankles since these were my 1st hiking boots, but that only took about a half hour the 1st time I wore them. I got them solely for keeping my feet dry while walking w/my dogs in the woods and on light hiking trails, but mostly for regular street walks in wet weather.
Unfortunately, one hook at the top of 1 boot broke off right in the middle of walking down a sidewalk. I hadn't pulled on the laces to tie them extra tightly, or anything like that. I read reviews about Hi-Tec boots where this happened, so it might be a common issue. Since I didn't think I'd be putting my boots through "the ringer," I was hoping to avoid this issue. Nonetheless, I would still recommend these boots, esp. if they're your 1st pair of hikers.
As far as the fit goes, I wear between a 7-7.5. I chose the 7.5 and it was perfect.

Very comfortableBought these for my granddaughter for a school field trip. They were very comfortable but the top hooks on each boot broke off the first time wearing them. Not very happy. About that because now I have to take to have them repaired to wear again.

defectiveI bought a pair of these hikers Feb. 29th 2016. They lasted about almost a year. One of the eye hooks fell off, the shoelaces fell apart and the insole right foot fell out and their not waterproof! I wrote and asked if they could be fixed. No. Their 11 days out of warranty. I will never ever buy a pair of Hi-Tec boots again.
