Solid EDCI have had this knife for a little over 6 mos. Mine was very sharp out of the box. I can manipulate and open this blade one handed, but it does take some effort. I wish the thumb knob that you use to open the blade was a good bit more towards the center of the blade than it is. Maybe it's just my big hands. Still a part of my EDC and always good quality with SOG.

Excelent Knife....after some adjustmentsI've had this knife for a little over a year now. When I first got it I was a bit concerned because the action was very stiff, pushing on the thumb studs was actually painful after a few openings. The lock was also fairly stiff once the knife was open making it difficult if not a bit dangerous to close. After lubricating all of the joints and simply opening and closing the knife for about a month the action was much smoother and the lock loosened up enough that I could easily disengage it with one hand. The knife wasn't razor sharp out of the box but it wasn't difficult to sharpen and holds an edge very well as one would expect with a SOG. I saw some complaints about the pocket clip that I couldn't help but laugh at, it is very simple to adjust the tension by simply bending the clip slightly, just don't over do it. If the action had been a bit smoother out of the box this would have been 5 stars for me but if after taking some time to work the knife it's now part of my EDC.

Not the quality I expect from SOG.I really didn't want to give this knife a 2 star review but, I had to. It did not come sharp out of the box, one star lost, I had to touch up the blade. The blade lockup is quite loose, second star lost, I did tighten the pivot screw as much as I could and it did help but, still not solid. The blade is so hard to open and close that I had to work it out to loosen it up. This knife was meant for my wife to keep in her car, it was so stiff that she was not able to operate it without significant effort and a sore thumb, third star lost. I also have to add that the pocket clip was so stiff that it is really difficult to remove from the pocket. In my opinion, an assisted opening should be fast. the Flashback Mini takes so much effort to pull from pocket and struggle to flip open that it slows the process down so much that it has made a home in the drawer with the rest of the disappointments.
