Definitely Differenttook me awhile to figure out how to throw it...i hold the bar with my left little finger and flip it...i'm using a slip-cork for crappie and it is so much fun...but i can chunk it a longgggggggggg way also, like swinging a baseball bat...like it so much, i'm ordering another one to add to my 2-22's and 1-platinum...oh, and my retired 89---bought it when i was in the 4th grade...56 years ago...gotta luv my Zebco's

Can't throwThe line kept hanging on the reel and couldn't throw. Looking at the pins that retract during casting they weren't going all way back causing the line to catch on them. Taking back today.

Pretty decent reelI bought this to replace a micro spinning reel I had broken. When I took it out of the package, I put on the pole and started trying to use it right away. However, it quickly became jammed. When I figured out how to open spool I discovered that the line was severely tangled inside the retrieve mechanism. Kinda disappointed, I almost took it back but decided to unravel it. Not wanting to spend the time to respool in case this issue was endemic to the design, I just cut off the the line that had been tangled. I took it fishing finally and discovered a remarkably smooth action (for $16). I was able to cast light jigs pretty far wit adequate if not a bit slow of a retrieve. My only 2 problems with it are the line it come with: replace as soon a you can, it's adequate, but this reel disserves better. Also, I have big fingers, and there isn't a whole lot of clearance for them above the trigger as the reel seat is not as long as a spinning reels. It forces me to hold the rod a little differently, but actually makes me be a little less hamfisted. I would ultimately recommend this reel to anyone looking for a spincast reel but not wanting to abandon their spinning reel poles.
