Great ToolI got my Ranger 1000 a couple of months ago and have had the chance to use it a couple of times. The bright red display is easy to use in low light conditions and the accuracy is spot on. I look forward to many years of use out of my Ranger 1000.

PerfectionSo I spent 7 years in the Army as an Infantry soldier never used a range finder. I have been hunting for over 15 years never used a range finder. I started to work at Field and Stream on slow days a hunting season approached I would look at the rangefinders and debate. I would put them ob a kbown location in the store and get a read out. Out of 10 rangefinders we carried(some big names), oblu the Vortex gave me the same read out each time on a kbown distance. Finally I settled on the Vortex Ranger 1000. The reason mainly was it had a clip as opposed to the lanyard most have. I know silly reason but it was way more easier for me. Then the red retical and readout. It hits you in an instant no matter the lighting. Then the warranty. It's already a great product but know I have 1000% confidence that if any thing happens it's covered. I love this range finder I even take it to the range with me when I go shooting.

Great LaserHonestly, I bought this with the intention to mainly use for golf, but also for deer season. I've become so comfortable with it that my handicap has come down a few strokes. Can't wait for deer season now!
